Called in for lunch with an elderly aunt and a friend today after visiting the snowdrops at the Rococo Gardens. Spotted it as we drove through Painswick so parked in free car park and walked back past the church. Lovely quiet, relaxed atmosphere with very good freshly prepared food and excellent coffee at a reasonable price. Nice stock of tasteful... More

I have the pleasure of being able to pop into the Patchwork mouse weekly. The mouse never fails to disappoint with its selection of cakes and scones, cheese scones and scones with olives, it is just all delicious. The range of coffee and hot chocolate is amazing with a coffee to suit everyone's taste. John and Kay are always there... More

Having lived in the area for years, I was only introduced to this lovely little cafe this month. The cakes were locally "homemade" and "moreish". The range of coffee was very good and I was even able to get the best Cortado I have drunk in ages! Not too many seats but homely and comfortable. The only problem could be... More

Needed a pick-me-up at 4.45 pm. Dropped in. Warm welcome. No issues even though closing at 5.00. Even served two more since I arrived. Fantastic mocha. Revived, entertained and sent happily on my way. Thanks John. Do not pass the chance to graze, refresh, see local art and be made very welcome. I'll be back when I have time to... More

This was an unexpected treat: to find an open coffee shop on a public holiday. And, what a delight it was -- excellent coffee (even my flat white was perfectly made), and a very enticing and delicious array of cakes. I had the toasted tea cake and my partner had the cinnamon and walnut cake.....suffice to say not a crumb... More

I'm always on the hunt for good tea and cake and what a find this was! Beautiful pear and almond cake, my husband had a tea cake that was so good that he also ordered a apricot and almond flapjack which he scored 10 out for 10. It's so nice to find a cafe with the right atmosphere, relaxed, friendly,... More

Excellent range of teas and cakes. The chocolate brownie was moist and huge! Lovely relaxed atmosphere, friendly service, quirky decor and crockery - all made for a very pleasurable experience.

Stopped off here today for a pre-walk cappuccino. The cafe has a busy but relaxed atmosphere, attractive decor and a range of comfortable seating. Our coffee was served promptly and was good quality. A very tempting range of cakes was on display- perhaps a treat next time!
