Went here with a group for birthday meal, very young inexperienced staff on bar and waiting on tables. Too much reaching over and spilling food. We could have overlooked this, but the trio of fish one of us had was mushy, not cooked, possibly still frozen. Resulted in being ill, not what we expected from a pub in a good... More

Ideal for a social or a meal out with the family. Really liked the drinks here and the bar staff were cheerful.

Food acceptable but relatively ££. The till did not reflect the menu price is till charged extra £1. Got that back though. Staff a bit lax could do with gentle kick up. Pub has very regular custom so not that bothered.

Lovely pub, with seating in gardens to front (noisy road) and rear. Plenty of interior seating and a some decent beers, lager and cider in the small, but adequate bar. Very friendly staff and owners, very welcoming establishment and a decent menu, that's not overpriced, judging on appearance of those I witnessed being served. Car park is slightly too small... Pre booked a table, and glad we did, as clearly very popular, and we got in before the lunchtime rush. Food was very good, and a great choice from the lunch time menu. All meals served were a decent portion, freshly cooked and well presented offering good value for money. The beers on offer were superb as I enjoy my... More

Visited on a Thursday evening as a party of 10, the pub was really busy. We were seated quickly and staff were quick to take our drinks order. The menu is traditional pub food and I got the impression it would be all home cooked but I doubt that, especially when it came to desserts. I had the scampi and... More

My wife and I had a quick recky of this gastro pub as this would be the closest to where we are about to move to. Just a quick sandwich. One steak and one crayfish advocardo, they were both very good and along with a portion of home made chips. We will return for something more substantial and offer a... More
