Booked a table for 9 people the celebrate a colleagues retirement. The staff were very friendly and welcoming. The food was excellent and the service was second to none. Will definitely be eating here again.

We had dinner at this beautiful pub and came back the following night for more. Excellent food and lively atmosphere. The first night there was even live music when 3 friends got together and played 'blue grass' American music. It was fun.

What a treat to eat in the Golden Lion's beautiful, flower-filled garden! The inside was equally colourful and lush . Great, friendly atmosphere and food honest, home-cooked pub fare.

Yes, there's plenty of parking. More at the back than the front. I arrived late on a busy weekday night (8.45pm) and parked easily.

No. it's a 5 minute drive out of the centre, but worth the drive.
