My partner and I popped in without knowing about it on a Friday night. We got there about eight, just in time for something to eat. I had good beer and excellent food. Nothing flashy or pretentious, just good honest pub grub, and plenty of it. Mixed in with a good atmosphere, and welcoming staff, you don't get much better.... More

The staff were really welcoming and accommodating - moving furniture around to fit us in. There was a good range of beers and gins and the atmosphere was pleasant and friendly. Food was good value, simple pub grub, like pies and roasts.

Wonderful to find this old fashioned pub in a wonderful market town. Situated in the oldest street in Ledbury . Serves lunch and dinner, all homemade excellent food, try the steak and ale pie- it's magnificent. A great range of real ales and ciders and mine host will let you taste before you buy.

Visited for lunch. Fantastic range of real ales and real ciders, but the fires were off on a very cold day and it was very cold! We had an uninspiring Ploughmans lunch though the staff did their best and were friendly and helpful. We would, return for the great ales and ciders , but probably wouldn't bother with the food!

This is a lovely, cosy and very local pub that is great for a hearty home cooked meal! Expect pub grub but with a surprisingly good range. Organic, local butcher sausages (for the sausage and mash) plus very reasonable vegetarian selections! This can get busy as a watering hole and cheaper eat, so I'd recommend booking to ensure a seat... More

A very local cosy pub with a surprisingly good range of home cooked tasty food. There is a wide range of local beer - I'd recommend the Ledbury dark. There are good vegetarian options as well. Value for money is great- the food and drinks in the photo came to less than £20.

Just popped in for a drink on route for a curry. A great little English pub. Sounds like a landlord who enjoys the blues. Photographs and blues music playing in the background. We will defiantly be back. Menu looked good and they had an excellent range of beers and cider.

A super local 'real pub' with top value menu of home cooked food. Service is friendly and staff are very helpful when advising on the menu options. Faggots and peas are a must! Usually advisable to book a table as this is a real popular venue.

Been many times before but not again, the owner I presume it was behind the bar was unwelcoming and the food poor for the price , microwaved soggy quiche , basic chips and 1980s salad or tasty faggot plus crushed minted cheapo peas and chemical gravy with chips. The place looks lovely from outside and I guess lives off this... More
