Good potential with nice space environment and great menus. However short staffed with no organisation at all. Took more then 45min to have 2 flatbreads that can be done in 5 min. All the take away orders from people that came way after us were sent way before our order. And in the end after such a long wait, the... More

I am very sorry you were disappointed. Unfortunately we had staff call in sick at the last minute and we could not get any others. Usually we are praised for our service and our food. Apologies again. More

No need to break the bank. Savoury wraps cooked to order and very good value. Will be back. Tripadvisor want me to use 100 characters. Duh! Just to say this is a good place. Happy now Mr Tripadvisor?

We popped in for lunch, sat upstairs, service was good, my baguette was tasty however the falafel would have been better warm not cold. All in all a friendly experience

Stopped in for a toasted sandwich. First visit here and it won't be the last. Service friendly and prices reasonable. Nice cosy atmosphere and the range of choices good. Had bacon Brie and chutney toasted flatbread sandwich. It was freshly made to order and absolutely delicious and filling. So nice to find a local place serving homemade produce instead of... More

We didn't enjoy the main meals at all and the food was very bland. Only liked the dessert. Wouldn't recommend.

Thank Mira P
Management response:

Sorry you did not enjoy your food - it would be most helpful if you told us at the time and we could have given you other choices. Never have we been told our food was bland so that is a surprise but maybe just not to your taste. More

Stopped here for lunch whilst out and about in Canterbury. Lovely flatbread selection. I went for the hummus and falafel one which was really filling. The staff were friendly. Reasonably priced - about £15 for two lunches and two hot drinks.

Nice place near the Cathedral but the jacket potatoes were not cooked through leaving them quite hard and unenjoyable. Good selection of soft drinks.

Thank jeanll0yd
Management response:

Sorry to hear about your jacket potato. If you had bought it to our attention we would happily have given you another one. We aim to please! More

Just three doors to the left of Canterbury Cathedral Gate Canteen serves freshly made flatbreads, salads, baguettes, toasties, jacket potatos and daily hot dish / soup. Everything is made to order from freshly prepared ingredients using local suppliers wherever possible. The building dates back to around 1600 and from the windows you can get glimpses of the Cathedral (particularly from the loo !). It is a rather rickety building so you need to be OK with stairs as our seating is over three floors. We provide eat in or take away food and a large variety of hot and cold drinks including smoothies and juice pressed on the premises. Due to popularity we also now serve delicious cream teas.
