I've been to the pub twice with a whole school group from Germany. The staff was super friendly and everyone went the extra mile to make our stay really memorable. I'd go there again any time. The interior is charming, the garden is lovely and the food is great.

We've been here several times. The pub is really nice - quirky modern decor, serves good drinks. Love the G&T menu. Not tried the food yet but it's clearly popular and looks brilliant. It's got a great beer garden and a lovely atmosphere. As a customer the service has always been excellent: all of the bar staff have been really... More

Stopped here for late lunch and although they were extremely busy, the staff were very friendly and accommodating. Food was superb and reasonably priced. Highly recommend!

We enjoyed a couple of drinks in the comfortable surroundings of this inviting pub with its quirky collection of curios. My wife was impressed with the range of fruit wines, especially the cherry wine. The staff were pleasant and friendly and we enjoyed a chat with the amiable landlord, who was attentive enough to serve me a replacement pint of... More

We had lunch here on Easter Monday and thought the food was excellent. Unusual queuing system at the bar but that seems to work. Main courses are exceptionally generous in portion size so beware! All food freshly cooked to a high quality. Our 4 meals were Lamb, Chicken Pie, Fish Salad & Fish Cakes - all were exceptional. I would... More

We visited here after reading the reviews on here and seeing the menu. Really helpful, friendly staff. Great fish and chips and steak and ale pie, plus a great crumble and custard. Reasonably priced. Worth noting that the kitchen closes at 2 but they gave us a heads up so we didn't miss lunch.

After coming here with my friends at Christmas we came again for a birthday and both times staff were friendly and helpful. The manager agreed to add an item onto the menu as we had liked it so much at Christmas. Great food great portions and a great price

Came here for lunch on a weekend. The food is good: just want you want from a pub lunch! The service was a bit slow however. Waited over an hour for the mains to be sent out, and other tables were served before us even though we ordered before. Also, when clearing plates, please don't stack them at the table!... More

Price of a pint of real ale was a good 30% more than the pub down the road (tax rises were blamed!!!)
