Great food great location, fully vegetarian without being hippy about it. Location is lovely and tucked away just enough to make it quiet.

I'm not even a cake fan, I know that may sound strange to most people! However I can always be tempted by the Rattle Gill Cafe. The cakes are truly homemade and they are wonderful. My only complaint about this place is it's not big...More

Found this gem by accident and so happy we did. Excellent food. Small, homely restaurant with wonderful staff. Couldn't fault it in anyway. Dog friendly.

As far as I remember they had both vegetarian and vegan food on offer
I have friends who are getting married and honeymooning in the lakes... I would like to get them a gift voucher for lunch/ cakes at your cafe... Is this possible and could they reserve a table as they only have a couple of days there?

We open our doors at 10am and serve homemade food. We stop serving savoury hot food at 4pm to allow us time to prep for the following day. We do still serve teas, coffees and cakes until 4.30pm. Please do come and visit and fill your hungry tummies!
