I have visited this tea room many times over the years, normally with my husband. However this time l took a friend for her first visit and she loved it. You can choose from several different quality teas and coffees all of excellent quality. The best part of the visit is always the cake, on this occasion my friend and... More

We have visited Baldry's many times before, and we were back again recently on our walking holiday, staying at Ambleside. We pretty much always visit Baldry's when we are near Grasmere. The interior of Baldry's is a very nice, relaxing place, and we bagged a table away from the serving counter in the little annex. We ordered a hot chocolate... More

After reading the reviews we went here on arriving in Grasmere mid afternoon. We had a lovely large bowel of tomato soup with delicious home made bread. The pear tea was very nice indeed. We missed lunch the following day but decide to have scones as we heard so much about the home baking. I was disappointed as the cream... More

We feel very fortunate to live not too far away to be able to visit Baldry's fairly often, and make a point of taking all our visitors there. The food is great, whether it is lunch or tea, with a very varied menu, and they offer a good choice for those on special diets. We called in yesterday for tea... More

Just visited Baldry's Tea Room for lunch. Definitely the right choice must be the best little cafe in Grasmere no complaints about anything. Service was quick and good choice of food from soups to sweets Soup was excellent probably the best I have had. Will definitely return when we revisit Grasmere

Understated from outside however don't let this put you off, we had a lovely scrambled egg and smoked salmon, local cheese pickle on home baked bread followed by orange drizzle cake and Lamont meringue which were all delicious, the lemon meringue is gorgeous

Having experienced a very cold walk up the tarn we were desperate for something warm. Walked in here to a lovely atmosphere, really quick service and the waitress was so so lovely. Had leek and potato soup and scones each It was truly delightful. Would love to visit again.

Stopped at this lovely tea room with our wet Westie on a sodden rainy day. Treated ourselves to tea & a fruit scone with the most delicious lemon curd. Great surroundings & very welcoming. Recommended you try , great choices on the menu
