Early afternoon coffee with bowl of chips. The chips were extremely tasty. The place has a very relaxed atmosphere, tastefully done and obviously very popular.

The steak and ale pie and burger were both tasty and portion sizes were more than sufficient. The bar area was friendly and the mulled wine after Christmas was a welcomed surprise. Prices were average.

Just good old fashioned carvery food along with a good menu for those that want something else. Always busy but usually don’t have to wait too long.

Its a long walk to oxenhome station, Taxis are usually parked both sides of the station, my guess is fare would be between £5-£10.

Of course you can, and there are high chairs available. I am uncertain of the times but a quick call to Romney's should put you right.
