My husband and i ate here during our recent visit to Keswick. Although i dont drink, i was impressed with the huge range of different beers that were on the menu. So many in fact, the OH had problems choosing! Food was really good and tasty...i ordered the french onion soup, the fish pie and had a desert also. Just... More

Came across this place by accident. Great beer, good atmosphere but unless you have pre booked you cannot eat in the evening? Just seemed a bit odd as we had a table and very few people were eating. Surely on a Saturday night the more covers they can do the better?

I chose this restaurant for an early evening pizza. When I arrived it was quiet so I thought, no waiting for food to arrive. I ordered the bread and oil as a starter and more customers arrived which livened up the place. Then, I waited and waited. I was told after around 20 minutes of waiting that there had been... More

(For some reason we thought this place was called the Brass Monk?!) This little place was across from our hotel so we thought we'd pop in for a drink after dinner. It's a cute little place, really nice atmosphere and the girl behind the bar was really nice and helpful. A good selection of local craft beer and ale, which... More

So disappointed and upset with this restaurant. I called in and booked a table for Saturday night at 7.30PM for 4 On Saturday whilst out for a walk I rung and asked if we'd be able to push the table back till 8 or 8.30 PM (as we had got delayed ) but got told they were actually stopping serving... Had evening meal here on Saturday night. French onion soup to start was really tasty, calamari/squid was fine. I had the chimichurri steak (fillet) for main which was good, my fiance had the salmon which also looked good. Dessert was a bit of an average eaton mess. The beer menu is extensive, probably at least different ones if not more.... More

My wife and I had dinner with our two teenage sons on Friday 14th April. The bar / restaurant was busy, but the two ladies serving were friendly, attentive and did a good job. We all chose Steak Frites, and followed that with desserts of Chocolate Brownie & Ice Cream and the Cheese Board. The steaks were excellent - all... More

Visited this restaurant for an evening meal. Whilst the beer was good, the food was dreadful. Both starters and main courses were luke warm, the venison Main was over cooked and the vegetables were raw. Very disappointed.

The food I had (moules frittes/mussels and fries) was not very good. We had thr Moules chili which was mussels with sweet chili sauce; a poor combination, and a great disappointment when compared to the description it had. The friendly waitresses and drinks (Leffe Blonde) definitely carried this entire restaurant on their shoulders and are the main reason for this... More

An unusual and quirky bar. A wide range of Belgian beers and steak and mussels. I had one of the beers and the steak as well as Scallops. I only got 3 scallops, a bit tight I thought. The steak was a bit too over done, but there was plenty of meat. They charged extra for the sauce, which would... More
