Visited the boot room for the first time recently for lunch. The restaurant was really quiet which made us a little apprehensive-but not for long! All three courses were excellent, we ate fish and veggie dishes, and shared what we had ordered. Every dish was top quality, beautifully presented, tasty, well seasoned and great portion size. There are plenty of... More

As always we are greeted with the most friendly service and made to feel so welcome. We come here as regularly as we can and the food has never disappointed. We tried the new menu this evening which is full of dishes that sound amazing, the ravioli is absolutely outstanding. Service is always attentive, efficient and friendly, my partner and... More

Sadly somewhat disappointed with our meal here. The service was OK, but the food was mediocre at best, and did not offer good value. My wife enjoyed the twice-baked souffle which she had as a main course with chips (to be fair, the chips were very good), but my starter was poor. Advertised as a rabbit roulade it was essentially... Having eaten very well in the Boot Room before this visit albeit some time ago, we had very disappointing service, food and the bill. The Scallop and Black Pudding starter at £9.50 had two small scallops cut in half to make it look like four was poor for the money, the steak was like eating your shoes it was so... More

I visited quite some time ago . It was nice to have some good quality British food. However I am not sure. Back then the mango and raspberry meringue dessert was very nice.

We had the place booked for a retirement dinner. It was really quite well organised. We had a 3 course dinner menu to choose from and on arrival we found that our seats were sorted out with name tags and our choices were brought out with little fuss or confusion. Staff were friendly and attentive. Ambiance was lovely and food... More

Lets start with the positive. The service was very good. The manager was kind enough to let me use my voucher past the expiration date. The waiting staff, if a little young, like children young, were quick to come to the table if needed. They may have lacked the knowledge but they were eager to sought the information. The two... Had what was overall a nice meal here on Saturday night. Most of the food was very good, not the best I have eaton but still of a good standard. The restaurant is really nice with a nice little bar area where you can have a drink before you go to your table. I found that the experience was a... More

Had some bread and oils to start with some French red wine which was cheap and enjoyable, the gentleman looking after us was extremely accomadating and we had fish and lamb shank which were delicious and a refreshing change from the usual chains in Leicester, great spot, great price, lovely decor. Recommend to all, couples or big parties,

The building occupied by The Boot Room used to be a restaurant called Stones which was one of our favourites many years ago. Didn't realise till recently that it was open as a different restaurant till a friend recommended it. The building brought back such good memories from 15+ years ago, the service was excellent, food amazing, I had medallions,... More
