During a recent visit to Liverpool, my wife and I had the pleasure of dining here twice. Both times, because of its large size, we had no problem finding a relatively quiet area to enjoy both the food and the ale, both of which were priced very reasonably. A very short walk from the Lime Street train station, the pub... More

A lovely pub for meals and staff are nice and helpful, it’s great for a roast dinner or chose something from the menu. I had the mixed grill and well worth the price for what you get on your plate and includes a drink as well. A good choice of drinks too food is above average for the cost.

I always come here on a Liverpool match day after getting the train. The pub is about a 2 minute walk from Limestreet. There are many ales and big enough for Liverpool fans as many come in here. Food is good and the staff always trying there best when the bar is completly full

Had intended going to the Lime sreet station Weatherspoons but its far too popular and this is only less than one minute away from station east exit and manic crossing the road due to buses...We are quite familair with the chains menus etc and the only differences in the pubs should be service, cleanliness, size and popularity. This is large and... More

I was visiting liverpool over the weekend and was disgusted with how unprofessional the staff was. It was in the evening on the Saturday and most of the staff was messing around with some coloured tape. They was putting it on other staff members back discreetly. There was one female staff member dancing around the customer seating area. She also... More

As with most wetherspoon bars there are not enough staff to do everything which leads to dishes and glasses piling up on tables. The place just looked dirty. I had to ask for a clean glass after getting one with lipstick marks still on. Not good. Not the staffs fault but mr wetherspoon needs to provide more staff

As a regular in the Richard John Blackler i have noticed that regularly at least once every 2 hours on week days, and at least once every hour on weekends when the pub is busy with stags and hens, that the pub is visited by 2 or 3 guys approaching customers offering to sell them what they describe as " Stolen Perfume ". As an ex police officer i suspect it is not stolen but counterfeit as they have far too much product and far too regularly.. I notice that they do very well targeting young women who have had a few to drink and their sales patter is convincing.. I would like to know why do the staff allow alleged stolen goods to be sold on the premises, and i am 100% certain they do allow it because i have noticed several staff members from the bar standing talking and laughing with them when they come in.. The pub is quick to eject beggars and the homeless asking for money, but there seems to be an exemption among staff for people selling goods dishonestly.. Why are staff and mangement allowing this to go on, it is certainly ILLETGAL to allow the sale of stolen or counterfeit goods and the good name of JD Wetherspoon is one day soon going to take a serious hit unless staff take the correct action which is to chase these people from the premises..If that doesnt happen it wont be long before a customer such as me arranges for a police visit when these people are plying their trade. I feel sorry for your poor customers also who are regularly being duped by these conmen.. Comments please..
