we have visited here quite a few times for drinks only(the food was a bit expensive).It is a beautiful place oozing character and charm.

Took friends who where visiting city for the first time to one of our iconic city pubs were most disappointed smelt musty needs a refurb and toilets needed a deep clean gents stunk of urine such a great pub being let go.

... disappointed to see that the ladies loos were not very clean and hand soap wasn't working. My husband said the gents were not up the usual standard eithe, quite dirty. We've been visiting the Phil for decades, please don't let this iconic pub slip.
