Five of us went for a family meal at Jonsom Nepalese Restaurant last Saturday night after a recommendation from a friend who’d been there recently and I can’t recommend this restaurant highly enough. The staff there are very friendly and welcoming, the service is great and the food is just superb. There’s a good selection on the menu and the prices are very reasonable. It’s not a licensed restaurant but you can take your own drinks for a small corkage charge which we really liked. We loved the small but intimate setting and the decor of the place and there’s plenty of easy parking all around this restaurant. We were already planning our next visit there during our starters and we can’t wait to return. We are going to become Jonsom regulars and we’ve already recommended this restaurant to family and friends. We all agreed it was one of the best restaurants we’ve been to in ages, so if you’re looking for a good night out with excellent food then don’t hesitate in visiting Jonsom Nepalese Restaurant.

An excellent, truly authentic Nepalese restaurant, not an Indian compromise as you too often find. Lovely staff, a varied menu (though almost all Nepalese), and prices we liked. The server agreed that the gulab jamun was not a part of Nepalese cuisine, but we forgave him this small oversight. A newish restaurant, and note that as of this date there is no kids' menu. However, this does give a wonderful excuse to hire a baby-sitter!

Decided to eat out last night and found this wonderful Restaurant (the previous good reviews persuaded us to choose here).
We had Khasi Ko Masu and Kukhura Ko Masu as our main courses along with some wonderful sides and everything was only delicious! The egg fried rice itself was the best I have ever tasted in all the years I've eaten out!
The Waitress that served us explained the menu in detail to us and was extremely polite, friendly, courteous and attentive the whole time we were there.
We will most definitely return here and will also ensure to tell our friends about the beautiful food in this fabulous restaurant!

We had an absolutely delicious meal- staff were helpful and explained the menu to us when we were unsure, and everything was fresh and tasty. The piro chicken in particular was amazing! Would definitely recommend- it’s great to have places like this so locally.

Don’t miss the gem for a true taste of Nepal in Liverpool! Whether you're a fan of spicy curries or crave the comfort of traditional lentil soup, Nepali cuisine is sure to satisfy your taste buds. Momo and Thakali meat thali was my favourite 🙌🏻🙌🏻 The staff were incredibly friendly and provided helpful insights into the dishes, making the dining experience even more enjoyable. 😊

Really lovely little restaurant. Very generous portions. Friendly staff, great music.
Had lamb to start and chicken curry main meal - both tasty and fresh and cooked very well with great seasoning

Went there as a family of 4 adults on a Sunday afternoon and had a lovely meal.
We had made a reservation and were seated immediately.
As it was the first time we had Nepalese the waitress explained the types of Momos and helped us choose them and other dishes.
The Momos were excellent and the flavours different.
The main courses we ordered- Khasi Ko Masu, Chang Saag, Paneer and Lamb Thali were all excellent. Flavours on each were different, spicy and very tasty and definitely one of the better restaurant meals we had.

A small and really friendly restaurant. We went along and shared a starter of mixed dumplings - all of which were delicious, and then had a thali each. They have chicken, lamb or vegetarian, and I can say the lamb was lovely. We cannot wait to go back to sample the rest of their menu. At the time they were not licensed for wine so we took our own - something which I have no problem at all with!

We went just for a nice meal out between four people, when we arrived the restaurant had only just opened so we were sat easily (however the actual restaurant is relatively small so it may be best to book for a seating at peak times). We ordered a few different meals to try and share which were all lovely and flavourful, although rather similar at times. But overall a lovely experience and food was great I would especially recommend the roti.

Time and time again the quality here is amazing and so too is the very friendly service. You have to order the mo mo platter for as an appetiser to share, which are simply outstanding - have not tasted any better and have travelled extensively.
The staff are so lovely that they will alter the spiciness of your curries - I had ‘hot hot’ and it was spot on! Try the pickled radishes, mula ko aachar, which give a fantastic contrast
to the curry. Just love this place

Jomsom came highly recommended to us, so we thought it high time we tried it out. We were not disappointed. First impressions were of a bright, clean well laid out space. This is not your regular’Indian’ style restaurant so no little booths or snugs here. Staff were exceptionally friendly and polite as well as attentive and helpful. Food was fast to table, clearly freshly cooked. Momo dumplings were superb - full of unusual flavours. We both had the chicken curry for main - again, the Nepalese flavours are different to what I’ve been used to in a curry so I was delighted. Overall, a lovely eating experience. We will deffo return!

Just happened to spot this restaurant as we drove past, and basically screeched to a halt. We wanted to eat “proper” Nepalese food instead of what usually turns out to be a majority of Indian dishes, and had hopes for this newish eating place. We were not disappointed. The menu, the taste of the food - it was all pukka Nepalese and so very good. We intend to return, at least monthly, and will eat our way through the menu. The whole experience was made even better by the lovely and very attentive waiter. You must go there and taste Nepal.

I can’t rave about this restaurant enough!! The food is the best I have had for a long time. We had the Momo platter to start which was hot, fresh and so flavourful. We had the chicken and lamb curry for mains which was packed full of flavour. The portions were large and we couldn’t finish it, the staff are so kind and helpful. We can’t wait to come back.

Incredibly tasty food. We ordered the momo platter and padauka chicken for starters, and had a kukhura ko madu (chicken) and chana saag curry for mains. We shared it between 3 and it was authentic and amazingly flavourful - each dish was incredibly delicious and it all tasted different. The staff were lovely and it was all great value. We will definitely be back and can't wait to try much more on the menu. Great experience, thanks for having us!

Quite excited about visiting this restaurant as love Nepali food. However it certainly did not live up to our expectations at all! Starters were bland and unexciting. The dish Inwas so looking forward to was the MoMo platter! Sadly not… veggie, lamb and chicken… couldn’t even tell the difference between them 😱 Some steamed, some fried… sauce, don’t even know what it was but SO unlike anything I’ve ever had in Nepal. Sorry Jomsom, need to do better than this. Apart from the uninspiring food, the place is small, when we visited it was busy and you couldn’t have a conversation over the noise. One good thing, the Gurkha beer was excellent
