Coming in from the very crispy cold London air, I very soon got warmed up in Prince Bonaparte. The fireplace, the great bar and the open room with its art deco flair is just something you must experience. I had a lovely lunch, and I want to thank Allan for giving me the best treat ever.

Had a fabulous evening at The Bonaparte for dinner and drinks recently. On this occasion I had a delicious bavette steak cooked on the Robata grill, perfectly accompanied by the Pinot Noir - as recommended by Josh. I have also visited the pub for a Sunday lunch which is also fabulous. Alan is always a great host at this buzzy... More

I have been to the Prince Bonaparte on various occasions and cannot say a bad thing about it! The food was delicious and the staff is friendly and very helpful. Chatted to the bartender before sitting down and he was very knowledgeable and makes a delicious espresso martini. Overall a cozy pub with a warm atmosphere.

I have been to the Prince Bonaparte multiple times, generally for a Sunday roast, and in my opinion, it is the top roast in Notting Hill. I have also tasted lots of other dishes on the menu and the Japanese Robata dishes are delicious, lots of flavours and always presented in a beautiful way. The staff are also amazing, polite... Good afternoon Gabriella! What a lovely review. Thank you very much. We've taken great pride in creating a roast dinner to rival the best in London, and were chuffed to win a competition not so long ago for it. Andrew seems to be the man of the moment, receiving a lot of praise for his mixology and tricks. We're very... More

A comfortable corner pub with booth seating (I love a booth) from where you can watch the world go by in Notting Hill through the large Edwardian windows, or watch the yummy mummies and their husbands and small children demolishing plates of Sunday lunch. And there is the real high point of The Prince Bonaparte - its Sunday lunch menu.... More

Really nice atmosphere and great Cocktails by Andrew. The staff seemed to be very welcoming and helpful in general. Would like to check out the restaurant next time, as I hear the food is of high quality, despite it potentially being pricey, which is not a surprise in Notting Hill area. Thank you.

Hello. Thank you for your kind review. Andrew has been making a lot of friends the other side of the bar, rumour has it he was trained by tom cruise. In all seriousness, thank you for your kind review, and we do hope that you will give us a chance for dinner. Whilst we know we aren't the cheapest restaurant... More

Met up with a mate today and we called in to grab a few beers, some food and a lovely wine! Firstly, let me just say! 1999 Rioja Grand Reserva... for £32! The Côte de Boeuf was gorgeous, the mustard was VERY spicy, the wine was yummy, and to top it all, Dominika was the most attentive (and funny!) hostess,... More

Busy and buzzing on a Sunday mid-afternoon when it's 50% pub and 50% restaurant. Interesting range of meats and vegetables cooked on a trendy BBQ, plus some traditional Sunday roasts, all reasonably priced, although I did spot a Cote de Boeuf for 2 to share on the menu for a princely sum if I recall correctly. Good range of bottled... More

Staying in Notting Hill

Neighbourhood Profile
Notting Hill
As West London's friskiest corner, Notting Hill more than manages to retain plenty of the same appeal that's brought the affluent area so much worldwide attention. In this attractive cobblestoned neighbourhood, a delectable variety of eateries, independent shops, galleries and street vendors offer a delightful window into how to live the good life in London, with each presenting visitors with an experience that's a little more idiosyncratic and endearing than the last. Travelers looking to forage for antiques should be sure to visit the Portobello Road Market on Saturdays, the largest antiques market in the United Kingdom.
