Obligatory UK meal of fish & chips was hot & tasty. Shepherds Pie was as well. Excellent service even on weekends.

A very friendly restaurant out of several gesigned to accomodate guests at the hotel across the road and tourists / locals. Close to Albert Hall so ideal for before show meal. Offers very good value meals, especially the dish and drink menu for under £10. Service is swift and friendly. I recommend the house red wine. Well worth a visit.

Visited Chez Gerrard on Saturday 3rd Febuary at 7pm. I found it overly priced, average quality food, no atmosphere and very cold! Found out they are closing for refurbishment, but it was as though they had given up early ! Not impressed at all, we were looking forward to a nice meal and had heard good reports, hence, out visit... More

Went here for Saturday evening Dinner meal. Food was good and we enjoyed our time. Easy to find. Exit the underground on Kensington High street, turn right and walk about 7 minutes to find the place. We found the food reasonably priced and good. Would recommend to try........

We had dinner here on the new years eve and really enjoyed the cosy atmosphere, friendly service and exceptionally good food. Best crème brûlée I ever tasted.

My husband, daughter, and I had dinner here early evening after a long day at the Albert and Victoria Museum and Harod's. Our Fodor's recommended this restaurant, and we were looking forward to an unpretentious French dinner. We were the only diners for most of the time we were there. The food was not unacceptable but was absolutely nothing special,... More

We had bought a voucher from Travelzoo for this restaurant which included two courses from the a la carte dinner plus a glass of house wine each costing £29 which were very reasonable in London. We were delighted with the quality of the meal ansd the service from the staff and returned the following night. This time we choose from... More

As a place for pre-concert meal before moving onto the Royal Albert Hall, this brasserie is well located just 10 minutes walk away at the start of Kensington High Street. It delivers good quality food quickly and manages to offer French Provincial food courses that you count not easily locate in Paris. I had a dozen snails followed by duck... More

Neighbourhood Profile
South Kensington
With its ivied mews, row upon row of Poppins-esque white washed mansions, and placid garden squares, it's easy to see the charms of South Kensington. And with superb access to Hyde Park, Holland Park and Kensington Gardens, as well as the largely child-friendly and mostly free Museum Quarter (not to mention more major attractions like Royal Albert Hall) such charms are easy to make the most of. As welcoming and cosmopolitan as it is reserved and residential, South Kensington is always a hit with visitors.
