I went to dine in this restaurant with my friends for an official function. We occupied at least 8 tables. The food was surprisingly good and the service is definitely above average. The restaurant has a good selection of wines available but the pricing is definitely slightly on the steep side. Overall, it is a very positive dining experience.

I feel embarrassed to recommend 4 of my visitors to have lunch in this restaurant which I thought would be better than China town. Dim sum was ok but The noodles was very salty and somehow lack of gravy. Unfortunately the waiter service was poor too!

I went there with friends for dinner. We had a reservation and was immediately taken to the table. Everything on the menu sounded good, although some of the prices were astronomical. We had four dishes for four people, and ended up tasting much of what is on the desert menu. None of their dishes are overwhelming, they are nicely balanced... More

Non booking walk in meal, mid week. The reception were nice and showed us to our table. Wine list, Mains list & Chef Special list. Decent selections on all. I had sweet pork starter, which was excellent and a decent portion (around £8). For mains, it was a chef special Beef and Rice. It was 10/10. Big portions also (£17).... More

By that I mean don't look at the carpet. Jesus I've never seen to much food on a carpet. We went in at 6.30pm and clearly no one had hoovered since lunch. I struggle with Chinese restaurants like this. Whilst the food caters for us Brits watered down favs and more authentic dishes for the Chinese visitors the service is... More

Six of us dined here early evening as we have done for quite a few years. Always top service with even better food and we were never under any pressure to leave. It is always a delight coming here as it never fails to impress.

We use to come here a lot but stopped because of the unfriendly abrupt staff. After 5 years, we decided to give Baker St Royal China another go. On this visit, we decided to try a few new ones as well as the usual classic traditional dim sum. The restaurant wasn't as busy, I'm guessing it was mid week and... More

We have been visiting this restaurant for over twenty years. The food and service has been generally the same fare. However this time around coming to London from New York and not eaten all day due to time zone coming in to play we wanted comfort food. Made reservation as soon as we landed for 21:45 and reservation accepted we... More

This is still the best dim sum place in London. Jammed on Saturday lunchtime (no reservations), either get there early or late to avoid standing in line. Recommend!

Went there on a saturday evening, the restaurant was fully booked so make a reservation if you plan to go there. Despite the crowd the service was very efficient, delivering quickly and timely all the ordered dishes. Very good appetizers, especially the steamed chilli pork dumplings. Main, Pecking Duck, was very good too. You can avoid the mixed vegetables, as... More

Staying in Marylebone

Neighbourhood Profile
Marylebone
Marylebone offers what so many London neighbourhoods cannot: a village feel coupled with urban convenience. Much of its success rests in its location. Wedged between the northeastern corner of Hyde Park and the southern end of Regent's Park and with a number of Tube stations within easy reach, Marylebone is as pedestrian friendly as Central London gets. The bustling shopping mecca of Oxford Street separates it from Soho and Mayfair, exclusive Regent Street marks its border with Fitzrovia, and cosmopolitan Edgware Road serves as its western edge. Within this enviably situated quarter are an array of outstanding restaurants (from Michelin darlings to down and dirty cheeseburgers), an impressive assortment of independently owned shops, and some of the city's quietest and most pleasant nooks, crannies and cobbled lanes.
