A large selection of take out bakery, food and sandwiches--a great monsieur croqpue! There is also cute cafe to eat in but has a different menu.

This visit was a two course meal coupled with theatre tickets. The venue was close to Covent garden and the West end theatres and the meal was excellent in a good restaurant. The choice of meal is limited but to be expected with a package deal. In my opinion, one of the best meals available depending on personal choice.

Same prices but smaller portions. The sandwiches and pastries are smaller than in France. The ingredients are also different. Pavot Poulet contains juicy grilled chicken in Paris whereas in London one can only taste parboiled meat. Sesame camembert is half the size as well. Feeling dupped.

A group of us, 6 adults and two children went in for hot drinks and cakes as it seemed to be quite popular. Unfortunately we were mistaken. Food There was no menu for the cakes so we all had to leave our seats to go to the front of the shop so we could choose. Then the cakes arrived at... More

Three tiers, first with a selection of sandwiches, second with brioche, jam and cream, and third with a selection of cakes and two macarons. Quality was very good, everything was fresh, and a hot drink is included, which can be tea, coffee or hot chocolate. Very pleased with the experience and the price.

We visited the restaurant pre theatre (2 course meal vouchers from love theatre). We were a group of 5, we all loved our starters of soup (perfect!), the main- Coq au vin was just ok, we also ordered dessert, and we all agreed that the brioche butter pudding was everything to write home about!! The service was great too.

My friends and I went into Paul's bakery, lured in by a sign outside offering 'Parisian Breakfast - any freshly baked viennoiserie + any coffee, tea or hot chocolate. Available until 12pm. Takeaway £3.25. Eat In £4.10' We went in and had coffee and a pastry - it was very nice but when we came to pay, we were not charged... More

Description
Our bakery, café and restaurant at 29 Bedford Street was the first branch of PAUL in the UK and is just behind the beautiful St. Paul's Church, designed by Inigo Jones and consecrated in 1638. Bedford Street was originally built between 1633 and 1640 and runs north from The Strand to King Street. You will find PAUL almost on the corner of King Street in the heart of Covent Garden, just a few minutes' walk from the Piazza (a building dating from the 1830s) with its busy markets and eclectic boutiques, as well as the Royal Opera House, The London Transport Museum, The London Coliseum, Leicester Square, Trafalgar Square, The Strand and Drury Lane, making us the perfect destination for visitors, opera buffs, balletomanes and theatre goers alike. Tucked away behind our bustling bakery with its fabulous selection of bread baked daily on site, you will find one of the two London branches of Le Restaurant de PAUL, offering all-day French brasserie-style dining. Our French restaurant has an unmistakably Parisian look that combines the contemporary with the classic. Three large 19th Century murals are complemented by soft grey coloured banquettes and plush teal seating. Industrial style ceiling lamps and stone floor tiles to the rear of the restaurant complete an intimate and stylish dining environment. Open for breakfast, brunch, lunch, a splendid afternoon tea and dinner, or just for coffee or tea and a delicious croissant, cake, éclair or slice of fruit tart, we also have a pre-theatre supper set menu served from 5.30 pm so you won't miss the show. Closest stations are Leicester Square (Piccadilly Line, Northern Line), Covent Garden (Piccadilly Line) Embankment (Northern, Circle, District and Bakerloo Lines) and Charing Cross (Northern Line, Bakerloo Line and national rail services). 64 seats are available. Disabled access available. Free Wi-fi.
