We have been eating at Italian restaurants in the area for many years and recently tried Cosmoba. The atmosphere is great but the food was good, not excellent. I tried the crusted lamb chops special and was seriously disappointed. The lamb was tender, the dish beautiful, but the crusting was tasteless. Other diners had the mozzeralla salad and the arancini... More

A quick lunch on a Saturday. Eggplant parmesan for one of us, pappardelle in wild boar sauce for the other. I specified al dente, and it was served that way. Both dishes surprisingly good, better than what I remember from 33 years ago! Reasonably priced food, but £8 for a glass of bad red wine is really too much. Service... More

Early eveing dinner with a friend on Friday. The food and service were as good as they have always been. I can find no fault in this local gem. Third generation in this traditional restaurant. Fabulous!

A small, busy tucked-away restaurant authentic Italian. Every November, I go to a literary event - the Slightly Foxed Reader's Day in Queen's Square- and every year I have lunch at Cosmoba. It's good at all the things it should be good it- good totally Italian food, efficient and friendly service, reasonable price so I keep going there.

Six of us have just had a fantastic evening at Cosmoba's. The food was delicious. The ambiance perfect and the friendly, efficient service second to none. I picked this restaurant as it is advertised as family run which is usually a good indication of the standard. The lasagna was one of the best I have ever tasted, the sword fish... More

We were hungry and this place was perfect. Cosmoba provides a limited menu choice - but the food was brilliant. The accompanying wine was lovely and the Moretti. The ravioli special starter was excuisite. Carbonara and tagliatelle were plenty of great pasta, finished off with th best Zablione we had ever had.

Hadn't been for ages but we were delighted to find that everything is as we expected and remembered. Always a joy, we were made to feel like old friends - the food was fabulous as ever and the digestif at the end was very nice - thank you - loved the mandarin twist on a limoncello! We promise not to... More
