This must be one of the most underrated places in London. The cuisine is Italian, and you can eat a bowl of pasta, have a coffee, and get out for under £15. Alternatively you can go the whole hog with three courses and pay about £40. Which ever you decide, the cooking will be extremely good, tasty, home-cooked food. The... More

Lovely restaurant. Great menu. Genuine, personal friendly service. Perfect for solos, couples or groups. Asked for a recommendation for dinner. I was a bit surprised when the answer was carbonara but glad I tried it. Lovely, silky sauce, perfectly cooked pasta and a generous portion of delicious salty, smokey, fatty little pancetta lardons. Not a mushroom in sight. Delicious glass... More

We have been here once before. The service is attentive without being ott. We both had veal one with spaghetti and one with vegetables it was very good indeed. Just tap water to drink. Pleasant relaxing stopover

Love this place! The owner gave us the warmest welcome and made us feel so at home. The food was absolutely delicious! We had the lasagna and oh my god, my mouth is watering just thinking about it, amazing! Our waitress was unfortunately not the best. She barely said a word to us and when we ordered she didn't even... More

We have been eating at Italian restaurants in the area for many years and recently tried Cosmoba. The atmosphere is great but the food was good, not excellent. I tried the crusted lamb chops special and was seriously disappointed. The lamb was tender, the dish beautiful, but the crusting was tasteless. Other diners had the mozzeralla salad and the arancini... More

A quick lunch on a Saturday. Eggplant parmesan for one of us, pappardelle in wild boar sauce for the other. I specified al dente, and it was served that way. Both dishes surprisingly good, better than what I remember from 33 years ago! Reasonably priced food, but £8 for a glass of bad red wine is really too much. Service... More

Early eveing dinner with a friend on Friday. The food and service were as good as they have always been. I can find no fault in this local gem. Third generation in this traditional restaurant. Fabulous!

Staying in Bloomsbury

Neighbourhood Profile
Bloomsbury
Snuggly nestled within Central London is academic and leafy Bloomsbury, an area that boasts walking distance access to many of London's most popular attractions. It is also home to some of Britain's most celebrated museums, including the must-see British Museum. Despite an understandable popularity with students, tourists and day trippers, vast sections of Bloomsbury retain a quiet, residential feel year round and throughout the week.
