Well situated in the heart of Soho my daughter & I stumbled across this restaurant last night. We hadn’t pre-booked a table and were looking for somewhere we could grab a quick bite to eat before our show that wasn’t a fast food joint. This...More

Nice, cosy restaurant! Mushroom, Ricotta starter was great. I wasn't impressed with my spaghetti carbonara but the cheesecake for dessert was one of the best I've eaten! Great service, friendly staff and good price! I will visit again!,

This is maybe the worst restaurant I ever been to! The staff was very unmotivated and had a bad attitude. I waited 55 minutes for a pizza even though the restaurant was half-empty. And the pizza was really awful. Far from "italian"

The restaurant provides great home style italian food. We shared four dishes and some bread with olives. The Spaghetti bolognese and the Margarita pizza were both very good. The Spicy pasta with eggplant was my favorite. The only dish that I didn’t care for was...More

We stopped here for an early dinner and it was absolutely fine. Relatively standard Italian fare but the food was good, the service excellent, and it is well located right in the heart of Soho. You could do worse.

An Italian restaurant out of the ordinary, Melanies specialises in Neapolitan food, setting it apart from the numerous other dining rooms in Londons central Soho area. Located on the notorious Old Compton Street, close to Piccadilly Circus, Leicester Square and the numerous theatres and cinemas the West End has to offer, Melanies is easy to spot thanks to its large awning proudly displaying the red, green and white of the Italian flag. Inside, youll find a dining room clad in much light wood and full of light, traditional, simple and comfortable in its dcor. In the kitchen, the focus is very much on the use of good ingredients, the chefs sourcing local and seasonal produce for their classic Neapolitan dishes. Youll recognise many of Melanies offerings, from favourite pizzas to well known pasta dishes, but youll also be tempted to try the specialties of the house which include the typical ingredients of Naples and the surrounding countryside and have roots in the Greco-Roman period.
