This is a small chick little wine and cheese place great for a pre theatre meal. Try the hams with the cheese and order the spicy potatoes. They are excellent! this whole street is filled with great little places.

This place on Lexington Street has been a favourite hideaway for years. Dependable, delicious tapas and excellent finos and wines. All in a compact cosy space. Recent change to "merge" with the coffee shop premises on Beak Street means that the USP of this place has gone. Trying to do two things and getting it mostly wrong. Also falling into... More

Been a big fan for years but - and I'm really sad about this - they just massively cut their menu. From abundance to parsimony in one move! Goodness knows what the management are thinking. The poor staff just look apologetic. Seems like many long-time customers are similarly taken aback. Hopefully normal service and the old menu will be back... More

We actually went to the companies Beak Street Restaurant but sadly that is closing soon. We also visited this cafe and both were excellent, just what is needed after walking around town all morning. All the sandwiches look good and it was difficult to choose, it felt like you could come every day for a year and not have the... More

Home made cakes and simple food with a twist. Beats the chains. Excellent coffee too! If visiting London, treat yourself .

My wife & I popped in here for lunch after I bored her rigid trolling the Denmark Street guitar shops. Having not purchased yet another guitar, I was feeling a bit glum, but this place cheered us both up in no uncertain terms. It's quite unique in its vibe and you immediately get the impression that the quality of eats... More

My wife knew about Fernandez & Wells but we didn't know where any of their places were. We found this by accident. A great tapas/wine bar type of place, terrific atmosphere, excellent staff who are very knowledgable and excellent cured meats & other dishes. The chickpea and Morcilla was a treat!

I've wanted to come here for ages but stumbled upon it by complete chance whilst trying to escape the rain over the weekend. Really enjoyed it here, my husband and I had two nice glasses of red wine (there are only two options of red/white wine by the glass- but both are nice and reasonably priced). Despite having dinner plans... More

Some time ago we got lost in SOHO and found this amazing place. The combination of simple food and great wine just filled our stomachs and wine with satisfaction and happiness. Probably the best "genius loci" food place in Soho. The cecina with bread, olive oil and Primitivo is our ultimate choice.

Staying in Soho

Neighbourhood Profile
The go-to district for a good time in London, Soho hosts a wealth of world-class theatres and a compelling lineup of cafes, restaurants, pubs, bars, and clubs. At Soho's core is London's original Red Light District and the epicenter of the LGBT scene – and thus the city's hottest nightlife. For shopping enthusiasts, Soho is not only the home of London's greatest concentration of boutique shops, but also the most strategic place to set off on a tour of the world's most celebrated department stores. In the southern part of the neighbourhood lies Chinatown, with its multitude of delicious and affordable restaurants. Closer to the Thames, Chinatown's narrow and teeming lantern-lit lanes spill onto the expansive hub of glitzy Leicester Square.
