Charming pub off of the Kings Road - more intimate than the larger Cross Keys around the corner. Lovely dedicated dining area by the fire or at the tables around the bar. We went for Sunday roast. The service was spot on. Food ranged from good to very good (a couple of people said their roast pork was a little... More

8 of us came here with some French friends for a typically English pub lunch experience and it was exactly that. The food was good, the waiter excellent and it wasn't pretending to be anything that it wasn't. Friendly, relaxed and warm on a bleak January afternoon.

Centenary celebration Sunday lunch, this is a difficult one to write because it was one of those days where for us unfortunately everything went wrong ! Having thought the location and pub would be perfect and having booked and planned this event for family members some months before ,as well as making occasional calls to confirm that the vegetarian guests would... The pub itself is absolutely lovely, the waitress who served me was nice and sweet and the atmosphere was great. I had the burger which was tasteless and the fries were undercooked and soggy, the honeycomb ice cream tasted like sour milk which is a shame. I will continue to visit for drinks but not food.

Great pub, decent selection of handpumped ales, willing to let you try before you buy - members of the Cask Marque scheme - although Julien the friendly French bar man knew nothing about this. Nice decor, all in all a pub worth visiting

We had dinner at The Pig's Ear and it was delicious! Downstairs the pub is buzzing (in a good way, but maybe a little too loud to have a dinner conversation) but the upstairs rooms is quiet and lovely, quite romantic. The windows are "old style" so rather drafty, so would recommend to sit maybe in the middle of the... More

We went to the cinema up the road tonight and as we came out thought we would pop in for a bite. We were told that all tables in the dining area were booked in a rather abrupt way, with only 2 couples dining when we walked in. We went to Busaba up the road and had a lovely meal... More

Staying in Chelsea

Neighbourhood Profile
Chelsea
Wealth courses through The King's Road, Chelsea's upmarket artery of West London life packed with shops, eateries and glitzy nightspots. For people-watching at its best and luxury retail therapy that's largely unrivalled, this area cannot be missed. But if this showy street starts to overwhelm or a moment of price tag shock sends you reeling, a quick detour down pretty much any of many King's Road veins will reveal a quieter side of Chelsea. Here the stately Royal Hospital hosts its world-famous flower show, and the Thames rolls along at a lazy pace, with leafy Battersea Park and its Peace Pagoda beckoning from across the river.
