We had the tasting menu with paired wines. And yes, we enjoyed! Sommelier had done excellent work with pairing the wines, so great choices. Food was very good quality. Starters and dessert were superb, but the lamb for main course was a little boring. It was not bad, but it wasn't anything special like the other dishes. The service it... More

Great atmosphere and food. Got a deal for 39 pounds: 3 course meal and a glass of champagne. Loved skate wing for main. Took Pig's Head croquette for srarter which was ok. Overall a good lunch and a very nice atmosphere. Service was impeccable.

Had an evening meal here - grand hotel and restaurant. Service was excellent which you would expect at this establishment. Food choice in the menu was reasonably limited, however presentation and quality of the food was excellent, wine good quality. Bit pricey but you pay for the name. Not the best meal ever but pretty close.

As expected, food was excellent which went down a treat. The staff were most helpful to our varied dietary requirements. Service received with a smile

I can't imagine why I haven't been here before for brunch - cocktails in Artesian I've done several times and very much enjoyed - and this was just next door. I don't think the menu will win awards for adventurousness, but my goodness it is classic food executed well - not so easy to achieve for a crowd. Perfect model... More

We certainly had looked forward to having lunch at this restaurant. The room itself is nice but the tables for two by the windows are very close together. It is the food that is so disappointing. I may not be a Michelin Chef but I could have produced a much more interesting ( and tasty) menu. We had the menu... More

I was pleased to try the tasting menu with matching wine at Roux at the Landau Saturday evening. The room and general feel was very pleasant and with good service and a knowledgeable Sommelier we had a very enjoyable experience. All the dishes seemed to pack lots of interesting flavour in without over complicating the food. I think the menu... More

Staying in Marylebone

Neighbourhood Profile
Marylebone
Marylebone offers what so many London neighbourhoods cannot: a village feel coupled with urban convenience. Much of its success rests in its location. Wedged between the northeastern corner of Hyde Park and the southern end of Regent's Park and with a number of Tube stations within easy reach, Marylebone is as pedestrian friendly as Central London gets. The bustling shopping mecca of Oxford Street separates it from Soho and Mayfair, exclusive Regent Street marks its border with Fitzrovia, and cosmopolitan Edgware Road serves as its western edge. Within this enviably situated quarter are an array of outstanding restaurants (from Michelin darlings to down and dirty cheeseburgers), an impressive assortment of independently owned shops, and some of the city's quietest and most pleasant nooks, crannies and cobbled lanes.
