The red wine selection was fine, but there was no white wine to my taste in a not very wide choice. This is something which needs addressing as the warmer weather descends on the UK. Teas and coffees were acceptable, but a standard decaf tea would have been appreciated - not everyone wants herbal teas mid afternoon. Water was freely... More

All was going well until the bar tender was having a bad day. Make sure that you know the table you are sat at otherwise he will be unnecessarily rude. Only given 3 stars as the venue should not suffer because of this individual.

I love this place. In good weather there's great views over the Thames and in winter it's warm and cosy. Been lots of times

We visited on a very busy Saturday and did not have to wait long for a table. The service was great and the food amazing. If you are in the area visit for lunch.

On a past visit I found this pub lacked atmosphere. However on a more recent visit the atmosphere was a lot better and the staff appeared more interested. As an added bonus it was a sunny day and the tables outside by the river were a real sun trap....

Enjoyed a lovely lunch on Sunday by the Thames after a good walk along the south bank. Nice atmosphere and good service. We had the Sea Bass and the Soft Shell Crab - both excellent and good value. Drinks were also reasonably priced. Can recommend the Aperol spritz!

eaten here a few times now sampled a few different dishes and must say the food is actually better than your average pub food with a good selection on the menu, not expensive either, river view, if your passing by you'd be silly not to pop in.

A group of friends visited to celebrate a significant birthday. Starting with drinks in the bar, we went on to dinner in the restaurant on the first floor with views over the river. The staff were immensely helpful and the drinks good. It was only when it came to the food that it was was so disappointing. I had just... More

Friday afternoon sitting by the Thames in the sun, watching the world go by. While enjoying some really good beers and wines. A lovely place to kill time. Excellent food too.

Came in for a bite to eat on a Saturday late afternoon. They managed to completely mess up a simple order, they didnt know the food or the correct table numbers. I was then summoned to the bar, which I thought was very unprofessional. The toilets were disgusting, and several of the toilets didn't work. Safe to say we won't... More

Staying in Southbank

Neighbourhood Profile
Big time attractions such as the London Eye and a thriving theatre scene (compliments of the National Theatre and the Young Vic) are but a few of the reasons that Southbank is such a collectively cherished part of town. With plenty of family friendly activities and venues lined up along a pedestrianized river bank between Westminster Bridge and Waterloo Bridge, visitors can always expect a casual and festive atmosphere. On top of all the fun stuff to do at Southbank is the opportunity to simply sit back and admire photo-op views of iconic landmarks like Parliament and St Paul's Cathedral, just on across the Thames.
