the overall experience was as expected very good; the ambience and surroundings and waiters were delightful ( we had some guests fro New Zealand with us who enjoyed it ) BUT the scones were cold and heavy - not the best at all - I...More

Took my mother for her 80th birthday for afternoon tea. Fabulous experience, the staff were excellent, sandwiches tasty and plenty of them. Scones with clotted cream and jam delicious and lovely cakes, however a little too sweet for my palate. Tea was lovely and plenty...More

So worth the $$$$!! I was worried that my 6ft 2in husband would be hungry - after he mentioned that there was too much food! The sandwiches are not like "Sandwiches" they are fancy finger food in bread....lol. The setting is so beautiful, the pastries...More

I don't usually write reviews, but this experience has been such a let down I feel compelled to vent online! I have been wanting to have afternoon tea at the Ritz for a very long time due to its reputation, and finally received the chance...More

I have been to the Ritz for tea before, lovely comfortable and luxurious. Not this time, my family of 8 including my elderly mother were herded to a small cramped table in the corner of the room suitable only for 4 people, we were uncomfortable,...More

Afternoon tea at the Ritz £54 which included finger sandwiches, several desserts, scones and tea. The waiters came round with cheesecake but we werent sure if this was included in the price so declined it. Waiters very nice, atmosphere nice, not worth the cost though.

Firstly, I love the Ritz Hotel because it has resisted the temptation of "modernizing" in the wrong way, like many U.S. hotels have done but at the same time keeping up with the demands of modern living. The building is stunning both outside and in...More

I don't think you can keep your bags with you inside the Palm court as the spaces between tea tables are limited. However, I think you may ask the reception/concierge to keep your bags while you enjoy your aft. tea.

They saw we had finished our tea sandwiches and asked which ones we liked and brought us more. We left, stuffed from so much good food and tea. Their scones were some of the best I had throughout England and Scotland.

Description
A British institution in itself, Tea at The Ritz is proud to be a member of the Tea Council's prestigious Tea Guild. Served in the spectacular Palm Court, a choice of several varieties of tea, finely cut sandwiches, freshly baked scones, jam and clotted cream and a range of delicate pastries, combine to make for an unforgettable afternoon. The luxurious and graceful setting of The Ritz Palm Court is legendary and this is most certainly an opportunity that must be experienced, whether you are visiting London or already live there. Reflecting the elegant nature of the hotel's architecture The Ritz London has a dress code in different areas of the hotel as follows: Gentlemen are required to wear a jacket and tie for afternoon tea in The Palm Court and for lunch and dinner in The Ritz Restaurant. In all other areas of the hotel (The Ritz Restaurant breakfast service, The Rivoli Bar, The Long Gallery) and The Ritz Club, smart casual attire is suitable. Please note that trainers or sportswear are not permitted in any of the hotel or Club's restaurants or bars.
