When you have to look at the menu for 15 minutes trying to find something you might like you know there's a problem. Strange menu that seems to be inspired by what the chef wants to try out rather than what customers might actually enjoy. Quality of the food was OK but not amazing. Main dishes are in the £15-20... We enjoyed a couple of delicious glasses of wine and a few tasty nibbles. The ambience is very relaxed and authentic. Lorenzo served us and was unbelievably helpful, he went the extra mile, explained the wines to us and was the cherry on the cake.

We came here for a meal before heading to the cinema - so we only had about an hour and a bit to spare for a proper meal - quick service and we even got through most of a bottle of wine! It's always a challenge fitting in a decent meal before your movie time - we didn't want to... More

I loved this place so much I came back something like 3 times in a month and each time I was so pleased with it I keep taking friends! The menu changes a bit so I can indulge in ordering something new each time and the warm apple dessert was to die for last time I tried it! Lovely champagne... More

Went with a friend for a Monday lunch. Place very busy so glad we had booked. Atmosphere was welcoming and it is quite cosy but nicely so. Both of us enjoyed the food which was well cooked. I had the lamb and she had the black pudding thingy which was very good she said as had been her Steak Tartare.... More

A superb example of a French wine bar. Food exceptionally good - but beware, very busy and reservations essential.

Recommended by one friend, serendipitously went there with another when one we had chosen was unavailable. It is a nice little place, warm and inviting with good value and reasonable selections, but not overly so. It's upscale casual in a fine location rather than great dining. Great for 2-8 people, more would be a problem

Food was fine, but service terrible. Had to repeatedly ask for the initial glass of wine we had ordered. 2nd course arrived without them having cleared plates and dishes from 1st course. When asking for Brown sugar with coffee the response was 'we don't have any brown sugar'. Mind you the service was very quick when we asked for our... More

Lively restaurant with friendly atmosphere and efficient service. Menu is not extensive but our choice - a pork dish - was excellent. This is a great place for a late night drink, normally being open until midnight. Bar area looks good.

A real gem. Great food and a wonderful wine list. The Duck and Pistachio terrine is a must for a starter. The baked Vacherin should not be ignored. There are so many good things it would not be fair to keep highlighting them.

Thank Ian G

Terroirs is a well established natural wine bar serving drinks with energy and food with respect. Terroirs is split between two levels. The street-level restaurant has some outdoor seating and a large bar counter that can seat up to 14 people, with a great view of the open kitchen. The Cellar downstairs has very high ceilings and original brick walls, with a separate kitchen and bar area. As well as being a dinning room, it's used for in-house events such as winemaker dinners and movie screenings, and is also available for private hire.
