We walked in after the cinema and they offered us a place downstairs. We sat at the bar and enjoyed watching all the comings and goings. We decided to share two starters - a very well constructed cauliflower based dish and a goats curd salad. Both looked simple but were more complex and tasty. We shared a really lovely lamb.... More

Love Terroirs, works for every season lovely rose and light food in the summer, hearty choices with red wine for the winter. Wine of all prices by the glass, carafe or bottle always great choices available. Langoustine and pork loin excellent choices !

Hearty, earthy flavours from a menu limited to France's rustic classics designed to go with one of the capital's most diverse wine lists. You could come here for duck rillettes washed down with a SW red, then smoked eel with an unusual sherry-like white. Staff will willingly advise and recommend fairly. Relatively cheap for this quality so close to The... More

Very close to Charring Cross this is a delightful restaurant/wine bar specialising in "small plates" which are not that small, with a few more formal dishes. We had an excellent charcuterie platter - duck rillettes, pork and pistachio terrine and salami together with a plate of fennel salami. Very good indeed, and as some wines are available by the glass... More

Terroirs has a very French style. If you like that, you'll love this. We always order a few small plates and share - never been disappointed.

We were actually heading towards a different restaurant while on the way we were captured by terroirs and decided to go in. Great dinner, quite a surprise! We had some wine and a selection of charcutterie plus the polenta main with girolles and we were really pleased with the choice. Warm, hearthy food with a great relaxed atmosphere. Just loved... Have been here a number of times as one of the few good places near Charing Cross. Limited choice but always interesting and well cooked. Wine selection also good and well priced. Service discreet and friendly. If you want a well priced unfussy place this is it. Also great if you just need a lite bite and a good glass... More

The concept is good, buzzy atmosphere, decent wines on offer,a mix of small plates and plats du jour at what appear to be reasonable prices.Execution let it down,my confit lamb dish was dull and the glass of natural /organic red wine was murky, thin and with a poor nose but I was informed that is how it's meant to be.My companions steak tartare... Went with high expectations having rad reviews. Really disappointed. Pork terrine was v nice. Duck rilletes a fatty soggy tasteless mass. We had to ask for bread to eat with the starter. Bread was v nice. Moules for main were far to salty and overcooked. Steak which was described as having been aged 75 days was tasteless and tough. Aged... More

Description
Terroirs is a well established natural wine bar serving drinks with energy and food with respect. Terroirs is split between two levels. The street-level restaurant has some outdoor seating and a large bar counter that can seat up to 14 people, with a great view of the open kitchen. The Cellar downstairs has very high ceilings and original brick walls, with a separate kitchen and bar area. As well as being a dinning room, it's used for in-house events such as winemaker dinners and movie screenings, and is also available for private hire.
