After wandering around looking for somewhere nice but not too expensive we stumbled upon Prix Fixe and we were so glad we did! Mussels to start, beef bourgineon and the most delicious sticky toffee pudding I have ever tasted. Two bottles of good wine, water, soda etc for under £120 for all 3 of us. Lovely staff and attractive décor.... More

Amazing meal - food was very tasty and portions were more than sufficient. Quick service for pre-Theatre but not rushed and service was delightful. Very accommodating for GF partner, would recommend!!

Visited last evening, encouraged by the reviews and was surprised that any restaurant (French??) will serve such poor quality of entrecote. Slow service and poor care of costumers. With all the options around , no need to make the mistake we did. No wonder the availability . Bad.

There is plenty to choose from on the menu and everything we had was very good. (We were a group of 6). Most of us chose from the 2-course menu and the French onion soup was excellent as well as the generous salads. The entrees were also very good and on the larger side for a lunch course.

We visited on Friday night prior to going to a show. We had the mackerel escabeche and crab to start followed by the duck from the a la carte menu. The food was excellent and the service prompt. Even though we had not booked they found us a table.

We visited on a lunch time before the theatre. The set menu provided lots of variety and when the food came it was delicious and to a very high standard. I can't quite understand how they produce such a high standard for just £10.90 for 2 courses. Service was friendly, water and bread were offered promptly free of charge and... More

The food is really good - I had the chorizo scotch egg followed by the hake. Very efficient service, which you need pre theatre. Quite simple decor. Good value. We will return.

It wouldn't be fair to say PFB was average but it's not "very good" either. I had a spinach and feta omelette with salad which was perfectly cooked. Service was fast as the restaurant is used to the pre-theatre rush even offering a special rapid style menu. The prices were excellent for the West End. The wine was standard -... More

They were advertising, on an A-board on the pavement, a pre-theatre 2-course dinner for £14.90 so in we went. The food was piping hot, and portions were of a good size. I had the halloumi salad for starters and a beef stew for main, my wife had chickpea falafel and aubergine, and confit duck. They offer the same menu for... More

We were very disappointed with the food quality here. Octopus was chewy, mussel was not fresh quality, pork really was tasteless and sauce was very strange taste. The restaurant was almost empty when we arrived weekday evening. The male server from Manchester was friendly. He recommended the house red wine which was very average. I liked the decoration in the... More

Staying in Soho

Neighbourhood Profile
Soho
The go-to district for a good time in London, Soho hosts a wealth of world-class theatres and a compelling lineup of cafes, restaurants, pubs, bars, and clubs. At Soho's core is London's original Red Light District and the epicenter of the LGBT scene – and thus the city's hottest nightlife. For shopping enthusiasts, Soho is not only the home of London's greatest concentration of boutique shops, but also the most strategic place to set off on a tour of the world's most celebrated department stores. In the southern part of the neighbourhood lies Chinatown, with its multitude of delicious and affordable restaurants. Closer to the Thames, Chinatown's narrow and teeming lantern-lit lanes spill onto the expansive hub of glitzy Leicester Square.
