London being London, history is going to be a big issue. The Silver Cross, the multilevel pub on Whitehall, is no exception and was first opened as a pub in 1674. According to a BBC historical research programme televised in 1999, Charles 1, 1625 -1649...More

The food was regular but very little. We paid for a main plate and a dessert, but they never delivered us the dessert, even when we requested it for 4 times (and it was just ice-cream). After we waited for 45 minutes we left the...More

They were out of the sandwich I wanted (very reasonably priced at 6.95!), so I went for the full British Steak and ale pie. Twice the price, but so very good! Huge portion and very filling. Nice seating next to the window. Loved it!

If you only had an afternoon to experience London on a
grand scale, Westminster would be a wise place to
start. The ornate Houses of Parliament and Westminster
Abbey sit adjacent at a corner of Parliament Square,
and a short stroll along The Mall leads to Buckingham
Palace. Trafalgar Square and Nelson's Column are just
up the road as well. As captivating as the
architecture is, the wonders of Mother Nature are

Not near the Pulman Hotel at all. Silver Cross is very close to Trafalgar Square, I don't know about a roast dinner every day but possibly it may be served on a Sunday.
