Popped in for a light lunch and that's exactly what we got. My avocado toast tasted lovely but it was gone in a few bites. The salad garnish looked awful - one slice of rock hard beetroot, a few slivers of carrot and some bits of brown celeriac. My husband's cheese scone was equally as nice but came with only... More

This place gets 4stars for the organic fresh food (even organic prosecco!) but let down by some staff and poor knowledge of the menu. Avocado on the bread was utterly delicious - top marks if a tad pricey at £8. We asked if there was a non-bread alternative to go with the soup to be told we could have a... More

Food was overpriced and sub standard, distinctly disappointed as it lacked flavour. However this would not have been as bad had the staff not been downright rude and inattentive. Finished off by the fact they ushered us from the table immediately after we had finished in order to get new customers on the table.

Very good French/English style breakfasts complete with accompaniments and atmosphere of a true London cafe. I would return.

Just recently went here for a light lunch on our arrival into London from Waterloo. Great busy atmosphere, a little noisy but fun, great service, interesting food with a healthy feel about it and very good fresh mint tea. We also went back for breakfast the next day and had a very enjoyable baked eggs on sourdough bread with chorizo.... More

We had had a lovely breakfast at another branch and thought the dinner menu looked good with plenty of healthy, organic, vegetarian options, so we tried here. Firstly we couldn't book because it was Saturday, which puts me right off because if we are going to the theatre we don't have time to wait. However, we just got the last... More

I was looking forward to lunch today as it had been quite some time since I had been to Pain Quotidien. But it has really gone down hill food-wise. I ordered a chicken curry pot au feu...which was stuffed with carrots and other horrible root vegetables but had hardly any chicken in it; so much so that I told the... More

Probably one of the best places to have a delicious and memorable brunch in London. The bread is really well done, and the menu is really vast of amazing options!

Walking into Le pain quotidian is like walking into a bakery with something more. The service was really good and the lady that took our orders did so with the utmost grace without writing anything down but getting everything right. The coffee mugs alone are worth a visit, not the kind of mug you will be used to. The food... More

Staying in Southbank

Neighbourhood Profile
Southbank
Big time attractions such as the London Eye and a thriving theatre scene (compliments of the National Theatre and the Young Vic) are but a few of the reasons that Southbank is such a collectively cherished part of town. With plenty of family friendly activities and venues lined up along a pedestrianized river bank between Westminster Bridge and Waterloo Bridge, visitors can always expect a casual and festive atmosphere. On top of all the fun stuff to do at Southbank is the opportunity to simply sit back and admire photo-op views of iconic landmarks like Parliament and St Paul's Cathedral, just on across the Thames.
