Poor service in this branch of Gail's - very disorganised service and rather rude. We ordered some bread to take away, and were asked to get it ourselves from the shelf and bring to the till. Whilst we did, the staff carried on chatting! It was clear that the regular process was for the staff to do that - quite... More

I like the food and the coffee at Gails. It's lovely having a chain 'artisan bakery' where you can get more unusual or a wider variety of choices than you do in most of the chain coffee shops. The service at Northcote Road, Abbeville Village, Clapham Old Town and Wimbledon Village is consistently bad. Dulwich Village is the currently bucking... More

Gails is a chain of cafes - the food does not disappoint - freshly made everyday and the coffee ( depending on who makes it) is good. On the way to work I get a coffee ( or two) on a daily basis, as it's a place I've found is reliable and offers a good coffee and great homemade bread.... More

I understand that this area is traditionally full of young mothers but this Gail's has become an extension of a nursery, with yelling toddlers running around and the smell of nappies. This Gail's also feels less well maintained than others I've visited. Won't be returning to this Gail's.

Went in for breakfast, latte was spot on but saw the chef have a wobbly whilst we waited for our food. My bacon was cremated and my egg just came as a hard yolk with no white. I went to take it back and the attitude was ridiculous, so rude and dismissive. No one apologised for the food and when... More

Very varied choice of breads. The pastries looked delicious though I had to resist - but next time I am in the area I will indulge. Lovely scambled eggs on toast.

A nice place to sit and watch the world go by. I just love coffee shops like this. I sat in the sun outside and worked whilst eating almond croissant and homemade juice. It was a tad expensive, but it is Clapham! In this case wouldn't advise for budget brunching. It's in a nice area, I'm in love with Clapham... More

Small bakery in the corner of Northcote road with delicious bread, salads and quiches. Coffee is delicious too! By the way, don't go there in the morning when I usually have my breakfast. I like to find places to seat! : )
