Myself and a friend visited the Kensington Tandoori on Easter Sunday with very high hopes after an enjoyable previous visit last July. Unfortunately, it would be fair to say that we left thoroughly disappointed. The restaurant was virtually empty when we arrived at around 5.30pm. Within seconds of ordering our drinks the waiter returned to ask if we were ready... More

I was meeting a friend who was visiting London. He was running a bit late as he got lost. I wanted to order a starter to keep me going until he arrives but to my dismay the manger said I can't order starters or a nibble until I am ready to order the whole meal. I asked if I could... More

We dined there early in the evening and had the place to ourselves. Quiet, refined service. Yummy curries, rice and vegetables, some off the extensive regular menu, some off the evening's specials. I can see why this restaurant is still in business after 30 years. We would go back in a heartbeat!

Took us about 10 mins to find the place, mainly because it was very dark outside and inside. first impressions... small place but nice, staff looked 'rushed' but at the same time quite calm. Was hoping for more variety on the menu as they didn't have the meal i usually order at indians. So opted to go for a 'hotter'... More

I went to the KT with two friends on Sunday evening. The staff were polite and professional, offering knowledge and expertise on several dishes. We really enjoyed the freshness of the food and variety of different options available on the menu. KT specials are also worth looking at. All in all, best curry in London so far, definitely will be... More

Food was delicious, service well paced and friendly, the atmosphere in the KT was very well balanced and allowed us to enjoy a delightful evening amongst friends

The service is absolutely terrible - we ordered food from this restaurant, and after it arrived in a mess, the manager simply laughed at us over the phone. I'll never give this man business again.

Horrible service tonight. We were pretty much just laughed at after our food arrived completely smashed into pieces. We were VERY regular customers, but I'll not be ordering again after being treated so abysmally.

I went to this restaurant last night. I paid £78 for 2 people (extortionate considering the food being just okay nothing amazing). We both had a starter, main and apple juice and a bottle of water to share. The service from our waiter was good but the manager was surprisingly quite rude and sarcastic when it came to discussing an... More

The food was freshly prepared but the staff seemed indifferent and we had to repeated our order of 3 dishes several times and ask 3 times for water. Small, intimate environment, good food at reasonable prices. Recommended.

The dining room at Kennington Tandoori is an elegant space dressed in lemon, plum and chocolate colours. Located on Kennington Road, this south London restaurant draws a local crowd and is always bustling with a lively mix of tables for two, business groups and politicians. The food is the real star of the show here, and the kitchen staff at Kennington Tandoori pay attention to detail - roasting and grinding all their own spices and making up all their own fresh stocks in-house. The menu – which is filled with classics such as the chicken tikka cooked with almonds, pistachios and coconut cream in a saffron sauce – is complimented by a bespoke wine list created by Caspar Auchterlonie.
