We have come to the restaurant to celebrate a friends leaving from London beginning of this month. We booked in advance the 7 course tasting menu. Being from the same industry I don't usually leave bad reviews, I just don't come back. However because it was a special good buy treat ( and not cheep) this has to be said!... More

Galvin is situated in a lovely building. I visited for an early dinner with 2 of my children (ages 11 and 7yrs). It was quiet when we arrived and we were well looked after by the various members of staff. My 7yr old stood at the pass and watched the chefs in the kitchen who were very friendly towards her.... I had lunch at Galvin la Chapelle on Sunday. It was the 3rd time I went there and it is the 3rd time I have nothing negative to say about this restaurant. I love the venue, the food is really good, great choice of wines (they also have my favorite wine) and the service is spotless. So if you wish... More

We returned to the restaurant and it was amazing again. This time we were during the day and had the lunch menu. I had some pork belly, lamb roast and dessert all for 35GBP. The food was exquisite and for that price is ridiculous. The restaurant is very quiet and elegant, service is beyond perfection. I cannot imagine what you... More

With regret I have to say that after one year so many things have changed. My boyfriend and I chose to celebrate Easter dinner for the second time as we had a very good memory of this place; nothing to say to the romantic and stunning location or to the food- tough except for the succulent pigeon, the other courses... First visit to this restaurant and you can't help but be impressed by the interior of the building. As the name suggests it's a refitted church and done very well. We went for Sunday lunch and had a warm welcome. There was jazz playing and the restaurant full so really nice ambience. We went for the three course prix fix... More

Went here yesterday for lunch before going to Denis Server's house round the corner. I went with my mum, wasn't sure if it we might feel slightly out of place but the staff were polite, friendly and attentive without being intrusive. We had the set menu which is approx £40 each for 3 courses. I had pork belly, followed by... More

This is an experience to be savoured, both in terms of quality of cuisine and service. Quite pricy (I noticed that many of the other customers were in business suits, so presumably reclaiming on expenses) but faultless in all other respects. Definitely not suitable for those with long pockets, but very enjoyable. Would not tempt me away from my default... More

Once a great place with excellent service and wonderful food, the sparkle had gone some time ago and we made a visit to see if things had improved. Sadly not, the once amazing food is now just good and the service has deteriorated more. Not at all attentive and very slow. Such a shame. Beautiful room in a lovely building.... More

We had dinner at GLC in part to look it over for a private birthday lunch. The place is lovely - great setting - and the private balcony looks terrific. However, it is expensive and I would guess mostly driven by business clientele - not surprising given its location. Sadly our experience didn't live up to expectations and certainly didn't... More

The third restaurant to be opened by acclaimed chef brothers Chris and Jeff Galvin, La Chapelle has been consistently praised, winning no less than 8 top restaurant awards in its first year, including AA London Restaurant of the Year, and Tatler magazine's Restaurant of the Year. Chef Patron, Jeff Galvin, provides a menu of modern French cuisine, gaining a Michelin star in the 2011 Red Guide, just a year after the restaurant opened. There is also a menu gourmand, prix fixe lunch, early dinner menu, and Sunday Roast lunch menu. The service, under the direction of Alessandro Piombino and his team, effortlessly combines warm, friendly and attentive hospitality with a fine sense of tradition and decorum, in keeping with the grandeur of this Grade II-listed building. The restaurant is one of the few restaurants in London to hold a vertical list of Hermitage La Chapelle wines.
