Good ambiance friendly staff, Ordered Flat white after I found they do different sizes of flat white which is unusual. Found flat white is ok. milk was more froathy than expected in Flatwhite. You also get chocolate along with the coffee.

The Manon Cafe next to Saint Margaret Pattens Church on Eastcheap & St. Mary at Hill close to the Monument station became our morning stop for a flat white and almond croissant. Just a really nice, warm cafe with great quality coffee and pastries. The complimentary chocolate was the icing on the cake.

I have just had the best cup of coffee in a very long time! Best part was it was a take away so you can imagine my surprise when I had flipped off the lid turned on the laptop - actually had to push away from the desk and really take the time to enjoy this cup of coffee. I... More

A lunchtime meeting was made all the more enjoyable by the choice of the Manon cafe, the closest I think you can get in the City to an authentic Italian cafe. The coffee selection is big enough to suit all tastes backed up with an excellent selection of pastries. By not trying to cover everything as the chain cafe's tend... More

After walking around this area for some time, looking for a coffee shop we remembered from a visit some years ago and finding a chain coffee shop in it's place we hunted around for an independent alternative. This is how we came across Manon. They serve Illy coffee and offered us a free chocolate to go with it. Both the... More

Staying in City of London

Neighbourhood Profile
City of London
From its ancient past as a Roman trading outpost to its 21st century status as the wealthiest square mile in the world, the financial district known simply as “The City” is one of London's most historic and fascinating neighbourhoods. Here high rise office towers such as Norman Foster’s Gherkin mingle with Roman ruins and architectural marvels from virtually every era in between, including Christopher Wren's glorious St.Paul's Cathedral, and John Soane's dauntingly classicist Bank of England. This neighbourhood is also home to some of the finest restaurants and plushest hotels in Europe, in addition to an assortment of of watering holes, upscale shops, and Tube stations. During the week, the City is abuzz with white collar workers going about their business; the weekend sees this area turn into a quiet haven for sightseers.
