Once again we ended up booking at Gauthier following a matinee show at the Prince of Wales Theatre, and we did not regret it. What really is amazing with this restaurant is how it compares in terms of value for money to similar French gastronomic...More

We ate from the tasting menu with matched wines and it was superb. From the wonderful carrot tartare with all of the tasty additions, to the glorious scallops, a simply exquisite truffle laced risotto, then plaice with noilly prat sauce, duck, cheese, then a pear...More

Went here for a 40th birthday. Private dining room. Service was awesome, super friendly, prompt refills etc etc. Food was a little disappointing. Poorly seasoned, bland sauces. I had a trout salad 2/5, pumpkin risotto 4/5, pork fillet and celeriac 2/5, pear dessert 1/5. The...More

We found Gauthier via the many review it receives on Tripadvisor and other sites. It's hard to find a 'fine dining' restaurant in London (don't even try the rest of UK) which treats vegans with respect. Gauthier is one of the very few. I'm vegan...More

What can I say? Utter perfection. From start to finish. As soon as I rang the door bell to be let into the restaurant, through the 5 tasting menu courses, all the way to the lavender macarons that came with my finishing tea. Set in...More

We had the tasting menu and wine to match. Every course was outstanding and the wine very nicely paired. This place was a new find and despite being kind of formal it wasn't stuffy or stayed. A very nice modern twist on trad French cuisine....More

We have been twice to Gauthier this year and twice we have been very happy with our meal: delicate and classical dishes but it feels modern cooking with a twist and imagination. Very good wine list and the service is really great: you feel happy...More

Description
Having earned a star within a year of opening Gauthier Soho, Alexis Gauthier is described by Zagat guide as "...one of the Best New French food destinations in London...". With an emphasis on vegetables in all dishes, Alexis provides a seasonal tasting menu with the best possible ingredients (British where possible) for omnivores and a vegetable option, as well as an A la Carte and lunch/pre-theatre option. All served in a chic Soho Townhouse where the staff really make you feel special. There are also five private dining rooms for parties of all sizes.
