OK, it was a busy lunchtime. 12.10 when I arrived but my crab mayo salad arrived at 1.10. When it did, the salad had been prepped some hours - if not days - before and the crab tasted of - nothing. The salad comprised a meagre portion of radichio garnished with brown edges and strange tasteless red balls which might... More

This a lovely place for a break although I know it gets busy. It's set a few minutes off Oxford Street in a small museum. So a perfect combination of shopping and culture! We had a lovely brunch, the only downside being the service was slow, which was surprising as there were lots of staff milling around and not even... More

Very tasty food from an interesting menu, beautifully presented. Not your usual standard fare. Wonderful setting and friendly, efficient, attentative staff make this a very enjoyable experience. Tables well spaced, so felt very private and chairs and benches very comfortable. Wheelchair friendly.

Had lunch twice during this visit to London with friends. I love the Wallace and it has beautiful atmosphere, good service and delicious food. Being vegetarian there is not a great choice but I am happy with the dishes I ordered. The added advantage is the great museum that you can browse through

From a quick coffee to a full meal. It hits the spot and not the pocket. The coffee is well made and tastes wonderful.

We went for a celebration and it was just ruined. Sullen staff who took ages to take our order. Then a wrong drink and a wrong starter ( in fact i didnt eat any of my meal at the same time as anyone else). The waldorf salad was £7 and crab salad £13... not worth the money. 2 mains were... More

Interesting menu, good quality but rather over priced food. Service not up to scratch. Nice location in the glazed courtyard.

Food is average, but compensated by lovely location and setting. Unfortunately the service is really poor. Apart for being rather slow, there is little effort to accommodate guests requests. They even lie to justify why they won't do what you're asking for. I asked to change my main course, shortly after my starter was brought to the table. The answer... More

An hour to bring the food and then two (out of four) dishes they brought were not those we had ordered so another wait for those. Barely an apology either. There are too many other good places to eat in the area (e.g. St Christopher's Place) so don't bother coming here. It's expensive and does not deserve your custom. I... More

Staying in Marylebone

Neighbourhood Profile
Marylebone offers what so many London neighbourhoods cannot: a village feel coupled with urban convenience. Much of its success rests in its location. Wedged between the northeastern corner of Hyde Park and the southern end of Regent's Park and with a number of Tube stations within easy reach, Marylebone is as pedestrian friendly as Central London gets. The bustling shopping mecca of Oxford Street separates it from Soho and Mayfair, exclusive Regent Street marks its border with Fitzrovia, and cosmopolitan Edgware Road serves as its western edge. Within this enviably situated quarter are an array of outstanding restaurants (from Michelin darlings to down and dirty cheeseburgers), an impressive assortment of independently owned shops, and some of the city's quietest and most pleasant nooks, crannies and cobbled lanes.
