Staff attentive throughout, from a warm welcome through to finding my dropped cloakroom tassel and helping me on with coat. Very discreet around the table. Very good meal and wines . The salt marsh lamb was just perfect. Great quiet location, beautifully decorated throughout

Sunday lunch to celebrate our wedding anniversary. A drink in the lovely bar (accompanied by some delightful 'home cooked' nibbles) and then through to the beautiful dining room. It's a 3 course affair with an excellent, but not huge range of dishes but even then we were spoilt for choice. Our food was absolutely delicious - frankly I don't think... More

Superb lunch with half a dozen choices for each course. Not the cheapest but quality food and service. Perhaps the "discretionary" service charge of 12.5% is outdated and should be removed?

Another excellent lunch at The Goring for a special birthday with my wife. We didn't tell them to avoid any fuss but the service was faultless and friendly. Superbly cooked and presented food and some rather nice if pricey drinks. The Goring dining room is probably my favourite lunch venue in town. The bar is also a convivial haunt. Diners... More

Dined two days running, Same peculiar menu. Not really my choice. Desserts not enticing.. Delay between starter and main course.

My partner took me here for my 50th birthday. It was absolutely marvellous. Staff were friendly and very attentive. The food was well presented and tasted out of this world. It was such a special weekend, absolutely love fine dining, even though it's expensive. U pay for quality not quantity. Hopefully we will be making a return visit .

We booked dinner and took advantage of a set menu offer, with champagne on arrival. All 3 courses were absolutely superb and service was excellent. The chicken soup in particular stood out. The room itself felt opulent without being too "stuffy" - a really nice atmosphere to the place. Considering this was a Michelin star restaurant, it was great value.... More

Wow, what a place. It exceeded my high expectations. Had lunch on my birthday and everything was perfect. We were so well looked after from the minute we stepped out of the taxi on arrival. I will not forget this magical experience.

Back for lunch after a year. Really very good indeed-everything perfectly cooked, well-presented, served by delightful staff in charming surroundings. My companion and I felt very content and satisfied after lunch and could have lingered for longer.

The Goring, which is situated near to Victoria Station offers a very good menu and pleasant surroundings. Both the presentation of the food and the taste were first class. The portions are not large so this is not an establishment to address your hunger, but I found it a perfect setting for a relaxed evening meal.

Staying in Westminster

Neighbourhood Profile
Westminster
If you only had an afternoon to experience London on a grand scale, Westminster would be a wise place to start. The ornate Houses of Parliament and Westminster Abbey sit adjacent at a corner of Parliament Square, and a short stroll along The Mall leads to Buckingham Palace. Trafalgar Square and Nelson's Column are just up the road as well. As captivating as the architecture is, the wonders of Mother Nature are highlights of the area too. St James's Park (arguably London's loveliest), the expansive Green Park, and pedestrian friendly tree lined paths along the river showcase the exquisite manicure provided by English gardeners. Just beyond the landmarks and the gorgeous outdoor spaces, quiet residential squares and age old local pubs offer a more subdued take on this global seat of power in the heart of London.
