Now this is an elegant restaurant in London with a great location and beautiful setting. The different areas in the restaurant are really well designed and the staff are friendly and generally attentive, even if a bit slow at times. I found the menu limited (mainly seafood) but it was all beautifully prepared and the food was really tasty. It... More

We ate before the theatre and I chose from the fixed price menu available for orders before 18.30. I do this quite often and Hix Soho is the best such menu I have had in the last couple of years. Lovely mackerel starter followed by very good lamb. But now comes why it ranks 5*. First we thought the back... More

Visited twice in a couple of weeks The first was a long leisurely lunch for a group of 6 friends. Whilst we had the table booked for 2 1/2 hours we were allowed to stay for over 5 which was perfect. The food for meat eaters and fish eaters was excellent. The cocept is very straight forward excellent ingredients cooked... More

I visited hix with a friend on an early Thursday evening. We started off in the basement cocktail bar with expresso martinis and moved upstairs for the 3 course theatre menu. The service was wonderful and the theatre menu very good value for money the only drawback being it was only until 6.30. Would definately recommend a visit and will... More

Went with a couple of friend for a night out. Had nice food, although the menu is mostly sea food we had meat dishes which were very good. Had a salad which was nothing special. Our waitress was very polite and helpful (a greek girl), the rest of the staff was ok. The atmosphere was nice, the guests looked smart,... More

HIX has a really varied menu which is packed full of seafood dishes, which I love. It is less than one minute away from Piccadilly Circus tube station too, which is handy. The service was good. I had the whipped beets and goat's curd with hazelnuts for starter, which was pleasant. For main I had the monkfish tail curry with... More

We had prebooked for Sunday Lunch at 3 o'clock, you need to book as it is very popular. The staff especially our waitress were excellent. The food took a little longer than expected to arrive, we had the beef with all the trimmings. The food was quite excellent beef medium to rare, the biggest Yorkshire pudding I have ever seen... Read up about the downstairs bar at this place which is offering great cocktails with service. It certainly did. Was just gonna be a quick one but enjoyed the setting and service so much it turned into a few hours. Started with a couple of espresso martinis, then an odd cocktail or two- most notably the brits spritz! Mega!!🍹🍾. Top... More

Loved the atmosphere in this place. Walked in off the street and managed to fit us in. Was a Friday night so very busy. Had one of the best steaks I've had in a long time. Wasn't cheap but really enjoyed it. Staff were lovely. Will definitely go again when next in London.

Staying in Soho

Neighbourhood Profile
Soho
The go-to district for a good time in London, Soho hosts a wealth of world-class theatres and a compelling lineup of cafes, restaurants, pubs, bars, and clubs. At Soho's core is London's original Red Light District and the epicenter of the LGBT scene – and thus the city's hottest nightlife. For shopping enthusiasts, Soho is not only the home of London's greatest concentration of boutique shops, but also the most strategic place to set off on a tour of the world's most celebrated department stores. In the southern part of the neighbourhood lies Chinatown, with its multitude of delicious and affordable restaurants. Closer to the Thames, Chinatown's narrow and teeming lantern-lit lanes spill onto the expansive hub of glitzy Leicester Square.
