Argentines like their steaks large - so unless your appetite is equally gargantuan. I would recommend sharing one of their steaks as a main (like the 250 g lomo, the fillet) with a few side dishes, which was ample for my companion and me. Because...More

This was a very good meal. The food and service were great. Nice atmosphere and surroundings. I'd definitely return and wouldn't hesitate referring friends. Reservations were odd in that when I checked on line certain times were available but when I called I was advised...More

Not quite 5 stars - potentially a little pricey for what's on offer and can get a bit noisy when full - but overall an excellent little restaurant. Steaks are first class, chips were fantastic (but should be a larger portion really), staff were very...More

Lovely little restaurant, came with a colleague from my new company to discuss some business activities. We started with the empanadas, sharing one of each of the 3 on the menu cooked to perfection. We then both had medium rare ribeyes, with fries and spinach....More

Always go to Casa Malevo when I want a nice piece of steak - never ever disappoints and is the tastiest meat in London, better than anywhere else. I also enjoy the wines a lot, in particular the reds from the Mendoza region. Service is...More

Aside from the charming staff, there was nothing to recommend this over-heated place. The bife de chorizo was a gristly and tasteless slab and the sea-bass a baked-to-rubber lump in the middle of a puddle of 'gravy'. So much for a birthday treat. Such is...More

Five of us were looking for a last minute dinner within walking distance of the home of one of us. Our hosts had frequently dined here and we were thrilled to get a table. Each of us ordered something different and all were pleased immensely....More

Came to Cash Malevo on our last night in Europe on the recommendation of the concierge. The dinner was fantastic from start to finish. We started with two empanadas--one sweet corn vegetarian and one with beef and eggs. We split them and shared--delicious. The crust...More

A very nice place located not far from Hyde Park. We ate the full menu. Everything was delicious waiters were nice and of good advice! You should try the meat with the Malbec sauce and dulce de leche dessert! Very pleased

Went there with friends and also who were business guys from the USA. They were blown away by how good the steaks were. Have a 400g rib eye chips and béarnaise sauce. And of course their Argentinian wine collection is superb!

Dear Brando, Namaste. You'll forgive my insouciance, but I have misgivings regarding your review of Casa Malevo, which frankly left me wanting. The note of forbearance in your praise was apparent and I'd appreciate, nay I demand, clarification. You proclaim the food, wine, staff and ambience were to your liking. This is reductive, Brendo. What of the seating, the decor, the atmosphere? These items have traditionally been staples of your reviews, and to find them absent chills the bones. Furthermore, to say that I find your alacrity in discussing the "ambiance" not once but twice alarming, would be an understatement of Brobdingnagian proportions. Some (fools to my mind) claim that repetition is the mother of learning, the father of action, and hence the architect of accomplishment. Flimshaw! It is the sign of a reviewer whose import is on the wane. Metaphorically spitting on the grave of tradition, you have felt it appropriate to fail to address the bar situation. Unforgivable. I'll not soon forget the heady dizzying thrill of your searing, take-down of those pompous Luddites at Le Papillion for their "counter with some drinks behind it". Am I to take this as writ that this bar was to your taste? Should I be concerned? Indeed should I discard my quill and scramble to the Casa post-haste for a Spritzer? A reviewer of your mercurial talent should know never to leave these questions unanswered. Alas Brando, you have left this reader with more questions about your talents than about the restaurant itself (a shameful accomplishment). You have lost a faithful admirer and a dear friend. Indignantly yours, KL

I been around long enough to know that there is no place on this planet that can tick over at 100% on 100% of the time and I will never dismiss a place on the one visit,I will give my honest opinion of the night in question... More
Was making a reservation with Casa Malevo and noticed they want us to vacate our table within 2 hours. Granted, I doubt we will need the table for 2 hours (there will only be 3 of us), but my concern is we will be rushed to vacate asap. I've read through the mixed reviews here, but no one mentions being rushed by the service. That's good, but I find it strange such a direct statement be made. What can I expect, a wonderful enjoyable meal or my entree arriving before our starters are done?

We were there on a Friday evening and there was never any pressure or mention of turning the table. I wouldn't worry.
