I do not know how many times we have been to Vascos. This last time was for our son's twenty-first. As always the food was wonderful and the staff lovely.

Staff and manager are wonderful, friendly and attentive. They didn't have one of the starters we had requested and so sent over an additional starter on the house for us to try! Food was delicious (crostini of chicken liver superb!) and we couldn't have asked for a better evening

Very disappointed with the whole experience! The restaurant is ridiculously small, to the point where I had to squeeze through a 4inch gap, between our table and the table next to us, just to sit down! It felt like the staff were running (literally) around the restaurant, with my partner's chair being knocked on several occasions. There was one member... More

We met our son and his friend here. The room is small but attractive and we didn't feel cramped, service was pleasant and unobtrusive, the food was good and the right quantity. We had a lovely evening

Soho is awash with excellent Italian eateries but this one soars above them all. Not too far from London's shop-lined Regent and Oxford streets it is much loved by advertising, TV and film folk. The menu changes regularly as the padrone is committed to serving fresh produce but fortunately several highly rated dishes, like calves' liver and home made 'tagliatelle... More

We were a party of seven celebrating a birthday and I cannot convey how good an experience this was. The service was attentive and discreet, time allowed to mull through the menu, advice offered, and the food was just something to appreciate, full of untainted flavour at every course. We had a range of starters and meals and shared and... More

I was with a group of 10 people for a special evening. The food was very disappointing. The bean soup was not hot and needed alot of seasoning. The sea bass was very tasty but came with very little in the way of vegetable - perhaps a bit of asparagus and nothing else. The chocolate mousse was delicious. But there... More

This is certainly a cut above the big chain Italian restaurants. For a similar price that you would pay for a soul-less nationwide non-unique experience you can come to this family run restaurant. The staff really care that you enjoy your meal and will adapt the menu should you wish. The ambiance is modern but comfortable. The food is freshly... More

Staying in Soho

Neighbourhood Profile
Soho
The go-to district for a good time in London, Soho hosts a wealth of world-class theatres and a compelling lineup of cafes, restaurants, pubs, bars, and clubs. At Soho's core is London's original Red Light District and the epicenter of the LGBT scene – and thus the city's hottest nightlife. For shopping enthusiasts, Soho is not only the home of London's greatest concentration of boutique shops, but also the most strategic place to set off on a tour of the world's most celebrated department stores. In the southern part of the neighbourhood lies Chinatown, with its multitude of delicious and affordable restaurants. Closer to the Thames, Chinatown's narrow and teeming lantern-lit lanes spill onto the expansive hub of glitzy Leicester Square.
