Before catching a train, I decided to pop into Zizzi for a bit to eat. Despite the restaurant being busy, I was seated promptly and my order taken reasonably quickly. The Spaghetti Pomodoro came out like a soup - it had so much liquid that you could barely see the spaghetti. I immediately sent it back and the second attempt... More

Situated in New Exchange, just to the east of St Paul's Cathedral, this is an area of several restaurants and bars in this modern block and shopping mall. The interior is somewhat bland and not particularly inviting. Menu and wine list is adequate but unfortunately the food was nowhere near the standard one expects from an Italian restaurant chain. The... More

We experienced pretty poor service here unfortunately. At first I had to go to the bar to request a drink as there was no sign of our waiter. When he did appear he was in plain clothes and we did not realise he was staff. He stood at our table in silence. I was looking around for help as I... More

Greeted by the Very kind and friendly waiter called 'Ilir. The whole experience was great, the food was perfect and so much choice for everyone, even with lots of allergies. 'Ilir' is an asset to the restaurant and should be recognised by his manager, he swiftly tried to sort out a problem that I had with my food from the... More

I am fairly regular here as I work nearby. The food is always top notch, I am a fan of Zizzi in general. Staff are very friendly and recognise me now!

Zizzi is a good Italian chain restaurant, at good prices and a standard quality. I think the pizza and pasta are excellent. Make sure to try the prawns as a starter. Wow

Not the 1st time I have been here, but again, the service was so slow. It's a shame as the food is really good. The lamb on skewers really good. Nearly an hour after we got there we were just eating our main. Plus they bought my 4 year olds food out last which is a no no, kids 1st!!

Ok for a quick lunch with colleagues when time is tight during a busy day is what I used this restaurant for, it's not what I'd call a destination restaurant. Yes, our order was taken quickly and it was delivered to our table in good time but ... some of the dishes were piping hot but mine was neither hot,... More

We visited here for the sole purpose of trying the vegan menu, and we were not disappointed! They have a whole allergens menu, which you can have on request. The vegan cheese on the pizza is delicious and the garlic bread was lovely! We were too stuffed for dessert. Price wise, it cost about £35 for two mains, a sharing... More

This is my third visit to a Zizzi restaurant (all of which have been of a high standard ). I chose this particular restaurant because I was intending to use the viewing platform on floor number six ( free of charge ). I was greeted and was able to choose where I wanted to sit. My server Ornela was both... More

Description
At Zizzi we like to do things a little differently. We don’t do over-complicated recipes or scrimpy portion sizes. We’re all about the well-chosen ingredients, simply put together to make exceptional Italian food.Smack dab in the middle of one of London’s top shopping destinations, our One New Change restaurant, is the perfect relief after a long day of shopping or for a lunch-time catch up with friends. Dotted around the restaurant are small homages to the Cheapside (cheap meaning market) area where each street name reflects the type of trade that went on. You’ll see nods to Milk Street, Bread Street and, of course, Honey Lane. Ah the Victorian era…things were so straightforward back then.

Staying in City of London

Neighbourhood Profile
City of London
From its ancient past as a Roman trading outpost to its 21st century status as the wealthiest square mile in the world, the financial district known simply as “The City” is one of London's most historic and fascinating neighbourhoods. Here high rise office towers such as Norman Foster’s Gherkin mingle with Roman ruins and architectural marvels from virtually every era in between, including Christopher Wren's glorious St.Paul's Cathedral, and John Soane's dauntingly classicist Bank of England. This neighbourhood is also home to some of the finest restaurants and plushest hotels in Europe, in addition to an assortment of of watering holes, upscale shops, and Tube stations. During the week, the City is abuzz with white collar workers going about their business; the weekend sees this area turn into a quiet haven for sightseers.
