Staff were great, food was delicious and at a good price for London. Only negative is the dessert, the scoop of ice cream with the cake was more like half a spoonful.

We visit this restaurant every time we visit London and the service and the food is consistently good. We felt a little rushed this time as we had not booked when we visited on a Friday evening and we were told we could have a table but that they would need it in one and a half hours. This said,... The kids were tired and hungry and another pizza restaurant was closed, so we happened upon Zizzi! The staff were so friendly and accommodating. They served the kids food really quickly and happily obliged when we asked to move to a window booth. The vegan menu is the best I've seen at a pizza place and their vegan cheese is... More

Went for a family meal. Had prawn and courgette zucchini starters - got calamari instead. Mains were lacking any flavour. The meatball pasta was totally dry. We thought we'd try deserts as we had plenty of room left. Disaster- the banana and chocolate calzone had nothing but one solid chunk of Annan in it. They didn't charge us for food... More

We visited with our children aged 6 & 3 for a meal after a very long day sightseeing. The staff (especially Izzi) were efficient and friendly. The food was good; problems were solved quickly. We will visit again.

Had lunch here as chanced by this restaurant after a visit to the nearby tourist sites. The pizza is delicious and the service is good. A surprising find.

We decided to stop off and have something to eat on the spur of the moment. The staff could not have been more helpful and attentive even thought there were several tables for them to wait on. The food was great and the calamari was mouth watering. I only ordered a small portion but this was more than adequate. We... More

Description
At Zizzi we like to do things a little differently. We don’t do over-complicated recipes or scrimpy portion sizes. We’re all about the well-chosen ingredients, simply put together to make exceptional Italian food.Just a short walk from the famous Globe Theatre, our Bankside restaurant offers a nice rest for the weary London sightseers and stunning river views while you dine. The illustrations decorating the walls throughout the restaurant were inspired by the surrounding area - a hub of urban skateboard culture that involves spirit, music and fashion, illustrated by the artist Matthew Brooks. Look out for loads of other interesting details including skateboard decks, modern art and vespa scooters.

Staying in Southwark

Neighbourhood Profile
Southwark
Even before the arrival of the instantly iconic Shard, the riverside scene in Southwark had moved well beyond any up-and-coming phase of development. For quite some time, locals and out-of-towners alike have loved browsing the boutiques of Bermondsey High Street, foraging through the bounteous stalls at centuries old foodie haven Borough Market, and flocking to the banks of the Thames to enjoy some of Britain's biggest attractions such as Tate Modern and Shakespeare's Globe. Despite Southwark's many popular draws, instant calm can be achieved easily by turning down almost any side street. For more urban buzz, a quick stroll across famed bridges like the pedestrianized Millennium Bridge or the ever photogenic Tower Bridge yields access to the very core of Central London. And with London Bridge Station as this neighbourhood's main transportation hub, getting across town (or to anywhere in England for that matter) is a relative breeze.
