Not sure how they earn money here, but it cannot be by selling food. Waiters are horribly rude. We arrived on a cold day and wanted to hang our coats, hats and scarves on the coat hanger near the stairs, but were not allowed by one of the waiters, even though the place was practically deserted (rightly so). Then we... More

Went here for a meal after theatre. Another Indian restaurant around the corner had a long que but this one was virtually empty, should have rung alarm bells! The menu was very typical of a UK Indian, when the food arrived it was bland and slight under cooked with no sauce, salad etc. Main course was ok ish but a... More

This was an awful meal. The food was unpalatable, full of salt and butter, and devoid of any Indian flavours. Quite the worst meal I've eaten.

4 of us were looking for a curry last night while in the West End and came across the Grand Indian, a fairly uninspiring looking place up a sidestreet off St Martin's Lane. A quick browse of these reviews told us not to expect much (and Mondays are never the best days for a curry as some restaurants re-heat weekend... More

After a Saturday afternoon matinee we were struggling to find somewhere to eat. Called here on the off chance and we managed to get the last table for 4, the place was packed. Yes some of the staff were quite abrupt but not rude, but in their defence some of the customers were being extremely rude to the staff. We... More

It is hard to describe how bad this place is. If you want decent Indian food at a decent price then head up to Drummond Street. If you don't fancy the trip to Euston just go anywhere close by. This place is a disgrace and a rip off.

I totally get why the reviews are how they are. I went with a friend. A lady went in ahead and got a good evening. We got a "can I help you?" As if we were intruding. What did they think we were doing there? A delivery? Plumbing? No because when 2 people enter a restaurant it's normally to eat.... More

Family meal here. Should've went with my gut feeling and ran in the opposite direction. Why do they still have places like this is central London? Inside badly needed updating. Tables set up with dips already on and not refrigerated?! And in broken pots!No salad given for poppadoms. Waiter VERY pushy. Don't know how many times we needed to say... More

Really bad customer service and attitude from the waiter staff. Food was very mediocre and the beer tasted like it had been watered down. The price however did not reflect the service or food and it was a total waste of my hard earned pounds. Not recommended .... in fact avoid and go somewhere else.

Loved the cold naans being sort of chopped up and put in dingy little metal pots. That was a particular highlight. A shimmering bastion of incompetence.
