We had afternoon tea here. The tea service was very nice and educational. Staff is super nice. Our waiter Danielle was great. The overall value is only ok. We had a 13 year old son who does not drink tea (much) and was no fan of the food - it was fancy and sophisticated - they need a price for... More

Lovely harpist playing throughout. Totally calm and relaxing. Not too busy but nice to see lots of groups and other people enjoying afternoon tea. Only a few staff which is why I did not score 5 for this review. Felt we had to wait a while to get waiter and waitresses attention. Also that we did not get personal touch... More

Four of us went here for afternoon tea on a Chapel Down winery special event - just under £40 a head with unlimited English fizz! This was a good deal - four kinds of finger sandwiches, scones with jam and cream, and a variety of pastries. There is a vast variety of teas. Everything was unlimited so we unashamedly made... Take an hour or two to enjoy a fine High Tea experience at the Picadilly. The tea is simply the best I've every experienced.

I was treated to champagne afternoon tea here and it was amazing. Service was great, very attentive. I opted for the vegetarian afternoon tea selection, my partner chose the meat equivalent. Both were delicious. Champagne was beautiful, as was the tea (I chose mint). If you wanted more of any of the sandwiches, cakes or scones you could have more... More

I purchased a voucher for the afternoon tea for my partner as a xmas gift. we decided to use it over the valentines weekend and make it part of a day in London. We arrived early and as it was cold outside I went in to see if we were able to bring our booking forward. We were seated immediately... More

Over many years we have experienced many London tea destinations. Organising for 16 some who wanted vegetarian, some non meat, some high tea and some to order from an a la carte menu was a challenge beyond some venues. The birthday girl had stayed in the Hotel after her wedding nearly 60 years ago and fancied a return trip. I... More

We had a reservation for tea to celebrate our daughter's 11th birthday. When we arrived, we were shown a table off the beaten path, which was not very special. I pulled Paolo aside and explained that we were for our daughter's birthday. He immediately put together a lovely table in the heart of the action. Paolo took good care of... More

Staying in Mayfair

Neighbourhood Profile
Set beside some of London's best parks and home to world-class galleries, luxurious hotels, and famed thoroughfares, the ultra upscale Mayfair is one of London's most exclusive haunts. Here the shopping is haute, the dining is exquisite, and the nightlife is vibrant. A casual stroll through the area’s chic streets will reveal that Michelin stars and chauffeured cars are practically the norm here. Even if you're on a tight budget, this exceptionally well connected swath of Central London is worth exploring, if only for the chance to take a peak at the goings on of upper crust English society.
