Beautiful old English pub, quaint interesting and cozy and their Guinness was nice and cold loved the plates hanging up around the lounge. The atmosphere was good

A small (only two rooms) and a very cozy pub, which is considered to be a great place for long drinking conversations for a pint, and then another pint, and then how it will turn out. The main bait is the ales of all varieties...More

I would like to thank the staff that last Saturday hosted us after the attack in London Bridge. Thanks with all my heart.

Very much a 'local', and well supported by the community, The Royal Oak has much to offer, in terms of traditional ales and a timeless décor and style of times gone by. Upstairs, a private dining room was the venue for our late lunch party:...More

I grew up on Harveys and seek out any opportunity to enjoy a pint. This place is great for that and keeps its beers very well indeed. It offers traditional snacks like pickled eggs and the food is fantastic good country pub grub. They've resisted...More

Went here to meet a friend and it is a very nice place. Frendly staff and very clean place. Even on a Sunday afternoon.

One of my fave pubs - superb Harvey's ales, great food, utterly authentic Borough ambience and Victorian decor. No music, no distractions, just the sound of conversation.

I love Harvey's beer and I really wanted to love this pub, but I found it just a bit too shabby, and it felt grubby. The fish and chips I had was very disappointing with dry fish, hard peas, and not great tasting chips. It...More

Even before the arrival of the instantly iconic Shard,
the riverside scene in Southwark had moved well beyond
any up-and-coming phase of development. For quite some
time, locals and out-of-towners alike have loved
browsing the boutiques of Bermondsey High Street,
foraging through the bounteous stalls at centuries old
foodie haven Borough Market, and flocking to the banks
of the Thames to enjoy some of Britain's biggest

Not sure as have not noted any signs indicating that they are not a dog friendly pub. My best guess is that they do allow dogs.
