We had a lovely time at Ritzy's, we watched a 3d film. Although the staff was really nice and the cinema was great we found it a bit pricy.

The bar has a good wine list. The food is imaginative and the ambience is great. But I'm unhappy to return until the workers dispute is settled in their favour. The place does a roaring trade so why aren't the staff remunerated fairly? And I...More

Tried all day to book cinema seats with the app and even the phone not working due to "technical issues". Got to cinema and they are only taking cash, staff barely able to cope with handwriting tickets and counting money. Kitchen closed early so can't...More

In honesty if you've got deep pockets then you'll enjoy yourself at the Ritzy. But if you're bothered by paying multiples of what you would at a chain cinema for the pleasure of having a beer before your film then this is not the place...More

This cinema was built in 1911 and is listed Grade 11.It is one of those small numbers of traditional cinemas in town centres which have survived by luck more than judgment.I enjoyed my visit and hope local people appreciate it.

I love this cinema, it's local, friendly although the popcorn is expensive the seats are comfy and there is a good selection of films on. There was a smell of sweaty feet yesterday however in screen one, perhaps a deep clean is in order?

Dropped in for lunch with a friend. The staff (on the whole) are distracted, inattentive, lacking in almost any sense of 'service', unsmiling, unwelcoming and seemingly unhappy in their roles. They are either lacking training, interest or appropriate management or supervision. There was no experience...More

Mixed bag really. Had the veggie taco for lunch today, which turned out to be mushroom and brie, a few strands of cabbagey stuff, and a dressing - in what seemed more like a tortilla 'open' wrap. Very tasty but was presented badly, and nothing...More

Part of the picturehouse group, this more local independent cinema offers an alternative cinema experience. Tailored to adults, the place screens a combination of blockbuster and alternative films. The sears are very comfortable and you can enjoy a glass of wine while you watch the...More
