This small, basically furnished cafe and sandwich bar is a stone’s throw from Westminster Abbey and it serves up a brilliant ‘Full English Breakfast’ from early in the morning until 11:30. We have breakfasted here for many years when in this part of London; it provides the best breakfast you’ll find in this area and it is great value for... More

Pretty good deli with a good variety of sandwiches. Small place with few tables. Best is the location near Westminster and Churchill.

Staff member was very rude and grumpy with me when I asked for something that was on the menu, but they were out of. How was I supposed to know? He proceeded to serve someone else and then ignored me whilst I stood there waiting to be served. No idea what the food tasted like, because I then walked out... More

Pickles is tucked away but worth venturing away from the costas, prets and itsus etc that crowd the area serving office workers their lunch. Nice selection of hot and cold sandwiches, cooked breakfasts, and pastas.

Stopped in here for a quick lunch and was not disappointed. We were traveling with four children and the staff was funny and helpful with my children. The jacket potato was huge and delicious. Sausage sandwiches were a big hit with the kids. Quick service and good food.

Top little secret seconds away from expensive Westminster Abbey and Big Ben, delicious food and very inexpensive - wonderful soups, fantastic potatoes, sandwiches and so much more. This place deserves far more custom than it is currently getting - because you don't know it's here! come and see it! Eat and enjoy!

Before meeting lunch. Boss had tuna jacket which filled him up. I had a roast beef bap with horseradish which was good. Nice little cafe if you want something less flashy in the area. Not much room so no backpacks!

Staying in Westminster

Neighbourhood Profile
If you only had an afternoon to experience London on a grand scale, Westminster would be a wise place to start. The ornate Houses of Parliament and Westminster Abbey sit adjacent at a corner of Parliament Square, and a short stroll along The Mall leads to Buckingham Palace. Trafalgar Square and Nelson's Column are just up the road as well. As captivating as the architecture is, the wonders of Mother Nature are highlights of the area too. St James's Park (arguably London's loveliest), the expansive Green Park, and pedestrian friendly tree lined paths along the river showcase the exquisite manicure provided by English gardeners. Just beyond the landmarks and the gorgeous outdoor spaces, quiet residential squares and age old local pubs offer a more subdued take on this global seat of power in the heart of London.
