Unusually the restaurant wasn't particularly full so there was no problem getting a table. A glass of Prosecco on arrival was nice - as was the Limocello and Amaretto at the end! Our meals consisted of white bait and melon with prosciutto to start followed...More

This review is a long time coming. I could call this one of my locals. Great pizza and pasta, reasonably priced. It’s an old school place with your typical checked tablecloths . Love it! Little olives and bread given as an aperitif - standard but...More

Cute little Italian, with friendly service. Sit outside if you can, nice to be al fresco without a bus passing every 20 seconds. We had an affordable 2course set menu - happy with what we got. Whitebait was fresh, lasagne was a good portion (though...More

Having read the mixed reviews I did not expect much. A friend recommended this small Italian trattoria for lunch. This is in a row of small eateries close to Farringdon Station. All are busy on a weekday lunchtime. We enjoyed our meal here and will...More

Average bread. Average service. Below average Caprese Salad - mozzarella was poor quality; fillet steak was average (although large) and was cooked as requested; tuna fish was good. Service was ok apart from waitresses being miserable. Nothing special about this restaurant - it used to...More

I had a two course lunch today for £12.00 in the City of London. Given a good menu choice, very friendly service and low key ambiance I felt this to be good value. More importantly it reinforced what I have long felt ie that chains...More

Just visited this place by accident, but a nice find. It's a small restaurant, but with very nice and attentive waiters. Food, in my case pizza, of very high quality and even the house red was very much worth the price.

We had pasta and it was delicious, cooked really al dente with great sauce. The service was very good and we ended up with liqueurs "on the house". There is a set menu and some excellent dishes but we chose something simple and it was...More

Visited on a Wednesday lunchtime with colleagues. The restaurant is small and can be a squeeze when full. The kitchen is open. The menu is extensive and also offered is a set lunchtime menu for £15.95, where you can select from a range of starters...More

food was served very quickly, not particularly expensive, a small cosy restaurant and a friendly waitress. Perfect for a quick lunch with friends during the week!

Owing to its proximity to Smithfield Market – the site
of an ancient meat market which remains in operation
today – Clerkenwell boasts a plethora of globally
renowned restaurants, fabulous local eateries, and
some of London's favorite pubs. This isn't merely a
focal point for all things foodie though. Spend enough
time wondering through the area's maze of streets and
you might become accustomed to the litany of slinky
