his is my 3rd visit to the Tea Room at Harrods over a period of 20 years and to be honest better value can be found at a local high street cafe. The cakes were pretty good but the service was TERRIBLE I expected better from such a high brand name. Some of the staff were just wandering around doing... More

Worth the visit and the experience! There are a lot of afternoon tea options in London varying in prices but we really liked Harrod's. The staff is so friendly and the sandwiches, scones, and of course, the tea, are all good! The china is exquisite and you will leave feeling a little more British. Highly recommended!

It's a nice place to sit for a while, rest tired legs and enjoy afternoon tea. Excellent service and tasty sweets and sandwiches.

It was about 20 years ago that we stumbled upon the Tea Room at Harrod's. It was a pleasure then and doubly today. We shared a Wedgewood. It was delicious. My wife had the Afternoon Special Blend and I had the Bari Darjeeling. Both excellent.

I loved the experience of being here, the food was very well made especially the cakes!! All the staff were so welcoming throughout our afternoon tea. We did find though that the sandwiches and scones would have been enough without cake too as it is quite filling and we ended up taking the cakes home!

We were wanting to have a pasta dish in the next door establishment but the queues were enormous. We edged along to next door and discovered The Tea Room. Expecting it to provide only afternoon teas etc we were pleasantly surprised to see they had a fairly comprehensive supper menu. My wife had corn fed chicken and gave it a... More

After 6 months we returned to the 2nd floor Tea Room where we previously had a bad experience and it is still the same; dirty tables of uncleared dishes, no service in regards to trying to flag someone to take your order, and no real concern on whether you eat there or not; so we walked out. It is such... More

We had lunch here before shopping. The service was very good. The menu was small, but we had no problem finding something tasty. I had the fish pie which I can very much recommend if you like fish. My friends had the quiche of the day, and they said it was very good. They also had the strawberry dessert which... More

Whilst shopping in London we stopped here for afternoon tea ,as it's one of my wife's favourites. As it was a Monday afternoon no queuing required for entry. I assume the weekend would be different. We had two afternoon teas and a glass of champagne each. The service was efficient, food presentation and taste was very good. The tea menu... More

Staying in Knightsbridge

Neighbourhood Profile
Knightsbridge
When millions of tourists want to shop 'til they drop, they do it along Brompton Road and its boutique-lined tributaries, including the world-renowned Harrods. And when millionaires want to flaunt what they've already got, many of them find Knightsbridge and Belgravia the perfect place to do so, often behind stately mansion walls or down quiet private mews. Delve beyond the ultra-luxe exterior and you'll find some of this city's cosiest pubs, quiet gardens, and all sorts of indie retailers and enterprises worth a short exercise in spontaneous window shopping. For those looking to take a break from shopping, Hyde Park, Kensington Gardens, and some of the city's most popular museums are nearby.
