I really only popped in to ask what the significance of the camel part of the name is because of the gold camel at the rear of the pub. It's not clear but one of the very friendly staff said it's because artichokes were commonly sold in that area and it was originally called 'The Artichoke'. When the current owner... More

The burgers are really tasty and great size, prices lower of the average restaurants in London. Just if you are hungry go before 3 or after 5. No kitchen until that hour

Tucked away in Lower Marsh but only 5 minutes walk from Waterloo Station, this traditional pub is a great place to meet. I've been for lunch on several occasions, and it has also been possible to get a table with no problem. the pub is very atmospheric, serves great beer and good food at reasonable prices. It's an oasis of... More

Small and cosy place where to eat. It was crowded, a good sign, with local people. Good food, good atmosphere.

As most have said, the burgers are decent. Ale is also very good. Good for watching sports and the bar staff were efficient and friendly. Shame it's closing. Lower Marsh badly needs a pub like this to stay.

My friend had her bday party here, on the upper floor, and it was simply perfect. The music wasn't too loud so you could talk, restrooms were clean, staff was super nice and food and beer were really good and not too expensive. The garden was lovely as well.

Meet up with some mates to watch the England game last night. The burgers were great (and huge portions) and a good number of TVs round the bar meant that there was good views of the game. Friendly staff and good prices

Recommended by a friend; my wife, 5 year old daughter and myself had a great dinner here, excellent value too. Vegetarian curry was fantastic. I emailed earlier in the day to see if children were allowed to be in the bar and received a reply email within a couple of hours. Hope to return.
