Onest food, onest price, friendly service. Old location but with history. 1890 must do something right.

Being vegetarians we were uncertain about what there was to eat. However, the cheese and onion pies were delicious as well as both the liquor and the gravy (also vegetarian). We also tried the pie made with soy crumbles but it was not our favorite....More

One of the best pies I have ever eaten in my life. And I'm northern. Incredible value. Endless amounts of gravy. Perfectly flavoured and tender meat. Delicious crispy pastry. Good peas.

What a delight. They have a single minded purpose - serve sensational pies with yummy sides...mash, peas, gravy - what a treat!

We had a great beef pie and mash with gravy, and a cheese and onion pie with parsley sauce. Both were delicious. Out of sheer greed, we went back later for a fantastic apple crumble each. Very generous portions - chunks of delicious apple (not...More

A great place freshly cooked homemade mince beef pie and mash. Cheap and cheerful. Friendly helpful staff. One thing the pastry could on done with a few more minutes in the oven. Will definitely return when in the area.

We ate at Goddards twice while we were on vacation in London. If I lived here, I would be eating here at least two to three times a week. The pie and mash is wonderful but I thought I had died and gone to heaven...More

Greenwich Mean Time starts here, so to speak, as the

architectural interest in Greenwich. Indeed, the whole
of Greenwich's historic town center, its Royal Park
and a number of related buildings (and one world
famous ship, the Cutty Sark) make up the UNESCO World

Hi, Unfortunately we don't operate a bookings system. The busiest time at the weekend is 12pm-2pm so eating outside of these times makes finding a seat slightly easier.

Goddards at Greenwich serves London's most traditional meal of pie mash and liquor. This meal can be traced back through the 1800's and is an important part of London's food history. We are open everyday serving handmade pies which are baked throughout the day. We are a family run business that has been serving pie and mash since 1890. Our air conditioned licensed restaurant can seat 100 people and we also offer desserts and cold drinks. We look forward to serving you London's most famous dish!
